There's no neutrality in genocide. EU citizens are calling for the suspension of the EU–Israel Association Agreement. As Israel continues to violate human rights and international law, even after the declared ceasefire, we support the European Citizens’ Initiative urging the European Union to enforce its own rules by upholding the human rights clause of the Agreement. The EU is Israel’s largest trade partner. Despite clear evidence of multiple violations of human rights and international law, the EU is disregarding a core condition of its own trade agreement. ✍️ Read more and sign the initiative: https://lnkd.in/eefHP9rD

Are we truly giving every child in Europe an equal start in life? In advance of tomorrow's International Day of Education, we are publishing our new subreport, "Early Childhood Development in Europe: focus on integrated and quality services for all", which highlights both progress and persistent gaps in how Europe supports young children (0–6) and their families. Key findings from our members show that: 🚧 Many children still face barriers to accessing quality Early Childhood Education and Care; 📉 More robust data is needed to guide policy and practice; ⏱️ Early intervention, cross-sector collaboration and integrated services can significantly support early childhood development. The European Child Guarantee is bringing about change in the lives of children, has helped expand access to key services and provides funding to a range of CSOs through #ESF+ In the latest Eurochild Report, #UnequalChildhoods Rights on paper should be rights in practice, Eurochild members have identified, good and promising practices for implementation of the #ChildGuarantee As the term ‘strengthening the Child Guarantee’ is currently being discussed, we recommend strengthening the current European Child Guarantee framework not by reopening and revising it, but by: * Ensuring adequate and sustainable funding. * Ensuring the national action plans involve the engagement of national, regional and local stakeholders. * Ensuring all stakeholders, including civil society organisations, and children and families, are fully engaged in the implementation, monitoring and evaluation process. In addition, all national governments should adopt a cross-ministerial strategy to ensure effective intervention, cooperation and coordination across policy areas. #SocialRights #ECG #MFF #EndChildPoverty #InvestInChildren Cyprus Presidency of the Council of the EU 2026 #IntegratedWorking EU Employment and Skills European Commission Roxana Minzatu Mario Nava Katarina Ivanković Knežević https://lnkd.in/eCYs5Mx6

Thank you to the 60+ professionals who attended our webinar today! When working with children, we rarely get the chance to pause and reflect. Today, we intentionally created that space as part of our #DaphneCHILD project in partnership with Terre des hommes foundation. Participants shared powerful insights from their journeys to meaningfully involve children and young people in their work. What stood out most? - The importance of building trust and giving feedback; - Genuinely creating spaces for listening and inclusion; - Taking an adaptive and flexible approach that shows we listen, share and care. This takes time, and we won't always get it right from the start, but the journey is so worthwhile! Children’s rights in Europe remain far too dependent on where a child happens to be born and on whether their government chooses to take its responsibilities seriously. Dr. Ally Dunhill, Eurochild explores why Europe must do better for its children and if there is one takeaway from the new Unequal Childhoods report, its that children’s rights must be at the centre of political decision-making. Thank you to Philea - Philanthropy Europe Association for publishing my opinion piece 'Unequal Childhoods: Why Europe must do better for its children.' This piece is a personal reflection on working on Eurochild's Unequal Childhoods report, which was both sobering and motivating. The contributions of our members across Europe reveal the harsh realities many children face, as well as the power of civil society action to drive solutions, influence policy and defend children's rights. Progress is possible, but only if children's rights remain non-negotiable. #RightsNotWrongs https://lnkd.in/eJxfD2SX

🚨 Across Europe, thousands of unaccompanied children arrive each year seeking safety and a better future. Behind every child is a need for stability, protection, and care, and guardians play a vital role in making that possible. Yet guardianship is often complex, especially when children face additional challenges such as disability or trauma. 💡That’s why the GUIDE project, launched in 2024, was created to support guardians with practical, easy-to-use tools that share one clear goal: strengthening guardianship and improving the lives of unaccompanied children by putting their needs at the centre. 📣Whether you are a trainer, a frontline service provider, a guardian or working on policy building or implementation, these resources from the GUIDE project are designed to support your daily work: https://buff.ly/5hI6o3o #InternationalMigrantsDay #GUIDEforGuardians EASPD - European Association of Service providers for Persons with Disabilities Национална мрежа за децата / National Network for Children IASIS NGO CESIE ETS TENENET OZ/NGO Fundacja Imago

Today, Eurochild is releasing its analysis of the 2026 Autumn Package, focusing on the Proposal for a Joint Employment Report, a key tool for tracking the EU’s progress on employment, skills, and poverty reduction. While the Report increasingly considers social outcomes like poverty, access to services, and inequality, children are still mainly framed through their link to future labour market participation, not as rights-holders today. We call for a comprehensive approach to child poverty and social exclusion, to ensure the new EU budget tackles social disparities from childhood. 🔗 Read the overview: https://buff.ly/qSXl8jx
