  • Brussels took a seat at Marseille’s table 🇧🇪🇫🇷 From 10 to 12 September, Brussels was the first guest region of honour at the Marseille Street Food Festival, which trusted us to showcase the destination in a different way. For three days, the Village Bruxelles took over the Esplanade de la Major, with one ambition: not just to talk about Brussels, but to let Marseille experience Brussels firsthand. 🍽️ Four ambassadors of Brussels gastronomy - Fernand Obb, Gaufres & Waffles, Frituur Bouillon Bruxelles and La Bonne Chère - brought the flavours of the capital to Marseille. 🍺 La Mule and Zoumaï created an exclusive beer, Saison de la Canebière. 🎨 A 3.5-metre XXL Manneken-Pis, redesigned by Propaganza, brought a splash of Brussels colour to the esplanade. 🍫 Together with Laurent Gerbaud, more than 1,000 people took part in chocolate workshops, creating their own chocolate mendiant bars. 🎭 Mini Manneken-Pis figurines and “Zinneke” T-shirts gave younger visitors the chance to take a little piece of Brussels home with them. ✈️ And a city trip to Brussels for two, supported by SNCF Voyageurs and nhow Brussels Bloom, offered a chance to extend the experience beyond the festival. The result? Almost 40,000 visitors attended the festival — and, above all, a largely new audience for the destination: 73.4% of competition participants had never visited Brussels before. Beyond the figures, what we’ll remember most is the encounter between Marseille and Brussels: two open, creative and food-loving cities, deeply connected by a shared taste for bringing people together and mixing influences. A huge thank you to Fédération Wallonie-Bruxelles, MPGastronomie, Provence Tourisme, SNCF Voyageurs and nhow Brussels Bloom for their trust and collaboration. And congratulations to the visit.brussels team, who brought this adventure to life from start to finish. ❤️
