BEAD PEEPS SWAP AND HOP 2017

WELCOME to the bead peeps swap and hop 2017. I hope you all had a great time swap and now hopping.

My partner in this hop is Kristina Peck from Michigan. She likes to work with glass and up-cycled materials. She hadn't used too many art beads so I sent her a few of my handmade polymer clay beads to have fun with. I also surprised her with a plethora of blue beads from vintage  to new, silver accents and a pair of my enameled butterfly charms that I made.  Hopefully she has fun with all my handmade components.   I plan to use some of my handmade components with the beads she sends me too.

Kristina's blog address is:  Kristina Peck http://tealeavesandtinyhats.blogspot.com/
Here is what i sent Kristina
And this is what she sent to me:
Of coarse i procrastinated until last week and made one item then.  Its been a long hard winter at my house with my being sick 5 of 8 weeks with sinus infection  norovirus then pneumonia to top it off and my son in a bad car accident with a broken back , but hopefully spring brings good things.
One wonderful thing this winter was the birth of my granddaughter Leah.

But on to bigger things like what I made from my goodies.  The pendant was by Muddy rivers by Barbara Rog. I added more czech beads to make this necklace.

next came earrings

I used my handmade etched copper components.

Love this one and will surely wear it around.  It contains the czech glass beads from Kristina paired  with patinad copper, copper spacers and a focal from a class at Pflora beads with a german glass doll in the middle. I am in love with this necklace.

next:

I paired the wonderful wood beads and czech beads, chain and clasp with one of my copper components for this fun necklace.

I hope you enjoyed seeing all my jewelry that I made.
have fun hopping .

Bead soup blog party. Hoarders edition

Hi all! Since I've been sick 5 of the last 8 weeks I am doing the reveal and introduction of my partner all together. Sorry it will be a long read but well worth the wait.
My partner for the hop is Theresa Fischer of Treesee jewelry who lives in California  which is known for gold and also copper. Theresa sent me a few copper pieces that she stamped.  Theresa   Has a home based business and makes jewelry and dog leashes and works with leather. She loves nature and being outdoors camping and hiking.
check out her blog:
http://treeseeshilltophaven.blogspot.com

She also sent me a second package of beads including a mother of pearl shell pendant a few how lite beads, copper beads and a part of a necklace that she had hoarded. She had held on to the mother of pearl pendant with hopes of drilling it, I was afraid to drill it in case it broke so I added a bail to it and used it as a pendant.

I sent her a pendant from Marla's mud some coordinating beads an etched bird copper piece and two polymer clay books that I made. This is Theresa's first swap and I love to send my partner some hand made items along with the required items for the swap for them to play with.  I hope you had. Fun with the goodies I sent

After much procrastination...... i know a lot of us wait till the last minute lol..... I tackled my beads and got inspired.  I sat at my workbench and looked and looked and thought then went to Michael's and got more beads(my house looks like a bead store already) but they had 70% green tag beads and I found just the perfect beads for the mother of pearl pendant and started to create and viola.... a necklace! Yah.  then I made earrings from the stamped copper and a necklace with the stamped circle pendant.
I hope everyone enjoyed this bead hoarder's hop!!! Enjoy the eye candy below

dont forget to hop till you drop. here are the links to all the blogs

Trauma and recovery

I am writing this as I sit in the intensive care unit by my son who had a horrible car accident on Wednesday night.  Two back surgeries later, back brace catheter, chest tube oxygen, ng tube iv tubes etc.  trying to keep him comfortable is difficult . Hard to see your kid suffering.  It is going to be a really long road ahead of him with spine rehab. Back brace. And more surgery in nine months to remove the rod that is holding his spine together.  I recently signed up for two blog hops to keep my spirits up and to keep me grounded thru all this craziness and to give me something good to look forward to.  Thanks for all the prayers everyone is sending me thru Facebook.  Trying to keep sane and hopeful

Time for the hop again

New year. New president? New grand daughter. Things are changing hopefully for the better.  Fighting an awful cold for 9 days already so I will post cute pictures
