Remembering Those Who Serve!

As we remember and thank our Veterans today, those who currently serve, and note that because of the brave this is the home of the free, let us also honor those Military Working dogs that save so many soldiers time and lives!

Veterans Day!

On November 11th, we honor those individuals, our soldiers, who with courage, tenacity and their very lives defend our rights and freedoms. These men and women protect us and our way of life.

Some four legged and two legged teams participate in serving our country.

Happy Memorial Day!

Happy Memorial Day Weekend! Many kids celebrate it as the unofficial beginning of summer. Many pools open, people party and grill and we have a three day weekend. It is a special time for humans, right?

Memorial Day is really is very special day, though! Our freedom is not free here in the good ole USA. So we need to remember why we celebrate!

We should honor our men and women in uniform-present and past.

Rescue One, Help hundreds

I am a rescue dog. That means I was “chosen”.

When Mom and Dad rescued me, my world changed and I became part of a family!
It was wonderful. I left a place like this (see the picture) and began a life indoors.

My rules were simple: no people food, no furniture, and no jumping. Slowly, things changed. It looked like this poster.

And, now there are times I can do this!

Even though Mom and Dad went “soft”on some rules, they were still consistent on everything and full of love. They always required respect and boundaries and insured my needs and many wants were met. When they rescued me, they made my world change forever. Remember the sign this post started with, ” Saving one dog will not change the world, but surely for that dog, the world will change forever.”
Because I was rescued and trained, I was able to help a child learn to walk, students to de- stress and learn, soldiers to de- stress, and to make many lives happier. As a team, we have changed the world for hundreds of others by volunteering as an Animal Assisted Therapy team. Rescuing one did change the world many!
