We've been making the most of our last summer days here at the Bell Household.
My pretty Cinderella/Natalie went to a princess birthday party for her little next door neighbor friend. Sleeping Beauty made a surprise visit, and the little girls (and my little boy) were ecstatic.
My silly boy.
Sleeping Beauty read a princess story (her own) and sang and danced with them.
Prince Blake wooed the princess into giving him a dance or two. It was so funny-he just went up to her and stood and stared until she caught on and took his hands for a waltz :)

Blake likes to wear everyone else's shoes around the house sometimes. I thought he looked especially cute in his daddy's.
Such a handsome boy. He likes mommy to come out and watch him play.
Last Saturday we went to the botanical gardens and the butterfly house. We remembered to bring bread so the kids could feed the ducks. There were only a few to begin with and when the kids brought out the food, the ducks came in swarms. :)

Saturday night, we all cleaned up the yard and then Rob pitched a tent on the back patio and slept (or didn't sleep) out with the kids. Let's just say it was a rough night, but the kids had a blast. Natalie found a lizard and it actually let her touch it. She was so excited. She checked for it the next morning and of course it was gone.
Then Monday (Labor Day), Rob planned out and built a train table for Blake. We're going to paint it red and distress it to match his dresser. My hubby is so talented!
The kids got in another swim before the cooler weather (hopefully) sets in.
I have an archer for a daughter! Rob has recently taken up archery and wanted to teach Natalie, so he bought her a bow and we went to the shooting range last night. She is amazing at it...a natural for sure. She enjoys it too.
Blake had fun riding his bike and trying to avoid the prickly bushes...failing only once. The joys of living in a desert.
I love my little family so much! Sometimes I just get so overwhelmed with appreciation that Heavenly Father blessed me to have such an amazing husband and two (soon to be three) beautiful, amazing children. There is certainly no greater happiness in life than that of the family.
