Boards Exam and White Coat Ceremony

A few milestones in Bennett's schooling have recently passed. In early January, he took his Boards part 1 Exam. He spent his entire Christmas break (minus a few days for celebrating) to study. I admire his diligence and hard work...I would not have been so dedicated to studying! Guess that's why I am not in dental school, I like being the supporter :) We anxiously waited for 2 1/2 weeks for results, and were ecstatic that he passed! We are so proud of him! This weekend we attended his White Coat Ceremony, which was a fun and special occasion. He will be starting to work on patients in a few months, and I know he is definitely getting excited for that. After the ceremony, Bennett's parents and brother Reece took us out to dinner at Maggiano's, our new fave Italian place. Cameron was in tow, but Avarie was crashing at a friends house. Here is a video of Bennett receiving his white coat...the person in the beginning is his good friend Chris.

Way to go Bennett! Only 2 years and 3 months to go (but who's counting...)

Guy Smiley

(you know, like from Sesame Street). That is our little Cam. Always a smile on his face, usually followed by a laugh. He is so fun to snuggle and squeeze. He doesn't fuss super often, and if I pick him up he usually calms down immediately and flashes the biggest, flirtiest, smile. I tried to catch him in action, but caught the tail end of his laugh-fest. Enjoy.

Roommates to Best Friends to Cousin-in-laws

Once upon a time, I was 18 years old and a Freshman at BYU. A lovely lady, Mrs. Stephanie Crandall (Stephanie Packard at the time), became my roommate and instantly one of my very best friends. Here are the silly girls...
They were inseperable. They did everything together...from football games to parties to working custodial together to serving missions. Jen and Steph were quite the duo. Fast forward a few years and they move from best friends to family. As she was dating her husband-to-be, Stephanie introduced Jenna to her cousin Bennett. They married 11 months later :) Here they are as bridesmaids in eachother's weddings.

Fast forward to the present. Last week, Stephanie and her son Carter (same age as Avarie) came to visit in Texas while her hubby was on a business trip. We had not seen eachother in almost 2 years and had such a fun time, especially seeing Ava and Carter play. Here are some pics of the kiddies adventures...

They went swinging and played at the park together

Drank chocolate milk together

Rode side by side in the car

Bathed together

And were buddies while watching shows, playing with Cameron, and snuggling Bennett.

Steph and Jen lived Happily Ever After. Too bad Utah and Texas aren't closer together :) Thank you Stephanie for coming to visit! (And Aaron for letting her sneak away).
