If you live in Summerlin, staying active isn’t just doable — it’s practically built into your everyday life. Step outside your front door and boom — adventure, trails, parks, and places to move are right there waiting.

This community is kind of famous for encouraging a healthy lifestyle, and it shows. We’re talking:

  • 200+ miles of award-winning trails
  • 300+ parks (yep… three hundred!)
  • Tennis + pickleball courts
  • Basketball courts and baseball/softball fields
  • Five community pools
  • 10 public and private golf courses

And — the ultimate backyard bonus — direct access to Red Rock Canyon, one of the coolest hiking, climbing, and cycling spots around. In other words… there’s zero excuse to stay inside.

Parks With Built-In Workouts? Yes, please.

Some of Summerlin’s parks — including the new Council Park at Grand Park and Redpoint Arroyo — come with outdoor fitness stations. They’re perfect for squeezing in a quick workout on a walk, with the kids, or doing some solo “me time.” No gym membership required!

Move, Sweat, and Play at Community Events

Summerlin even has events built around staying active — like Tour de Summerlin, the annual cycling ride with 20-, 40-, and 80-mile routes through the community and nearby Conservation Area. It turns 25 this year and rolls out on April 18 Whether you’re a casual rider or a serious cyclist, it’s one of the best ways to see Summerlin up close.

Fitness Meets Fun at Downtown Summerlin

Downtown Summerlin isn’t just about shopping and dining — it’s also a mini fitness hub.

Here, you’ll find Lifetime Athletic (a serious fitness playground), Pure Barre, TruFusion, Dance Dynamics, and coming soon: Mark Wahlberg’s MUNICIPAL GYM powered by EoS Fitness.

When the weather’s nice, the fun moves outdoors with Fitness on the Lawn and Fit4Mom Las Vegas which offers stroller-friendly workouts.

Trails for Days… and Then Some

Ask any resident — the Summerlin Trail System is the community’s superstar amenity. With 200+ miles of beautiful, interconnected trails, it’s perfect for: jogging, walking the dog, weekend strolls, cycling and getting your steps in while enjoying the views.  It’s the easiest way to enjoy fresh air and sunshine.

Pools, Courts, Leagues & Year-Round Sports

Even though some outdoor pools take a winter break, the Indoor Aquatic Center at Faiss Park is open all year long. Sports fans also have tons of options, including tennis lessons and leagues at the Arbors Tennis & Play Park; youth and adult baseball, softball and T-ball across multiple parks. There’s always a league, program, or pickup game happening somewhere.

A Golfer’s Paradise (For Every Skill Level)

Summerlin is kind of a big deal in the golf world. It’s home to Nevada’s only two TPC courses — TPC Summerlin (private) + TPC Las Vegas (daily fee); Bear’s Best in The Ridges® (Jack Nicklaus-designed and currently being reimagined as a private course); two Arnold Palmer courses at Red Rock Country Club; courses at Sun City Summerlin + Siena for even more variety. Beginner, casual weekend golfer, or pro-level enthusiast — there’s a course with your name on it

Whether you’re into hiking, biking, swimming, yoga, team sports, or just long scenic walks — Summerlin makes staying active feel easy, social, and fun.
