The Big One

Monday was the "Big ultrasound." It was so fun. For some reason I was super nervous about it. I really had no idea why but I kept having nightmares we would get in a wreck on the way there or for some reason Kendell couldn't come. But not to worry...all went well. Our baby has a strong healthy heart with 4 working chambers, diaphram, kidneys, extremeties....brain hemispheres...It all checked out! And of course we took a peek between the legs and found out "its" a BOY!!!!! Were super excited. We really didn't care what we had but now that we know we just think having a boy will be so much fun. I'm excited to start buying stuff and getting ready for this little guy to be here. I have been feeling him kick a lot the past couple weeks. Kendell has even felt him a few times. During the ultrasound he was constantly turning around...kicking his legs...stretching his arms...ha ha so CUTE! Here are a few of his first snap shots :-)

Oh and the doctor said "Wow he has long fingers!" So I guess we already know he gets that from his mom :-) We didn't get a picture of the hand though

A quarter of a century!

Kendell's birthday was last month! It kinda snuck up on me and then my plans didn't quite go as planned but we had fun none the less. We went on a hike in the morning that I remember being really pretty. Well I forgot to consider how weird this year is and that it might still be covered in snow! So it was more of a snow hike. And of course there was not a trail to follow so we tried to figure out the end destination by ourselves. We got to the top of the mountain and saw where we were suppose to be but decided to call it good. It was a very hard hike! Later we went boating with my parents and our neighbors. It was a blast! On Kendells actually birthday we headed up to Flaming Gorge for some more boating fun up there! Happy birthday!!!!

If you look close there is a lake behind us. Somewhat covered with snow. ...yeah thats where we wanted to be...

Ragnar? Yeah ok

So its almost been a year ago that my friend invited me to be on her Ragnar team. At first I just laughed and told her I don't run. I try and run sometimes but it usually doesn't last very long because I feel like I'm going to die. Being able to tolerate running has always been a goal of mine. Just not one I'm good at sticking with. So I decided if I commited to running the Ragnar it would push me to do it. Being pregnant was just an extra challenge that decided to come along for the ride. (that really wasn't that bad. I was just really tired my first trimester so training took a lot of motivation). The Ragnar was the third week in June and it was so fun. I'm so proud of myself for doing it and Kendell and I are already trying to put a team together for next year! So you can understand how far I came...Kendell is a cross country runner and so when he ran the Ragnar I would just ride my bike next to him. When we got married he talked me into running with him a few times. We would get to the end of the neighborhood (2 blocks) and I would start walking and tell him I was gonna die. He would just put his hand on my back and not let me stop. Well on the Ragnar I ran a total of 16 miles with my longest leg 7 miles! Take that! WOO HOO! I didn't take my camera but Kendell and Mufasa suprised me and ran my last leg with me so they were there at the finish and took a picture on his phone. I tried to post it here but its super blurry. Sorry. Just imagine it in your head :-)

Picture Time!

So my goal has been to take a belly picture every 4 weeks. I have a Dr appointment every 4 weeks so I just figured I would always take it that day. Well I already missed one so forgive me. But here are the latest belly pictures.

8 Weeks! First Dr. Appointment

12 Weeks

20 Weeks! Half way

Its weird to think that its half way because I have had such an easy pregnancy so far that most of the time I don't even think about being pregnant. Lucky me! Hopefully it will continue this way.
