For AANHPI Heritage Month, Fortitude Re brought together leaders from Asian American LEAD (AALEAD), The Asian American Foundation, and ALFA-Asian American Leadership in Financial Services Alliance for a conversation over identity and leadership. The discussion ranged from youth mentorship and the model minority myth to philanthropic gaps and building a leadership pipeline that stretches to the C-suite. One of the most interesting things about conversations around AI at work is how quickly they become deeply human. I’m really grateful to the Fortitude Re team for the openness, engagement, and thoughtful discussion today about how to thrive in the age of AI. We talked about using AI as a thinking partner, while also protecting something essential: our voice, our discernment and our humanity. In many ways, I believe we are moving from a pure knowledge economy into an era where discernment, good judgment, questioning, relationship-building, and trust become increasingly valuable. AI is also exposing something else: how much people crave real human interaction at work! Mentorship. Collective wisdom. Intergenerational learning. Meaningful communication. That’s the part no tool can fully replicate!! And maybe that’s the opportunity: not to become less human in the age of AI… but more intentionally human ⭐️ A little food for thought for all of us as we navigate what it means to work, lead, and stay human in the age of AI.

This week, our colleagues celebrated Earth Day by protecting the communities they call home. Our colleagues joined the Cumberland River Compact to clear litter on Sevenmile Creek in Nashville, and our Bermuda team partnered with Keep Bermuda Beautiful to pick up trash at Spittal Pond.
