It would appear that AlpineLinux have recently moved from one hosting organisation to another, thus it is highly probable that some certificates have been "lost" during this move. There's some information on their website https://alpinelinux.org/posts/Seeking-Support-After-Equinix-Metal-Sunsets.html

That aside, you a Linux distro running under WSL, so what you need is a stable source for BOINC and subsequently for whatever projects you want to run. The first place to look is the official BOINC download page https://boinc.berkeley.edu/download.php and select the appropriate BOINC version for your Linux distro (guessing here either "redhat" or"debian", install that then look for the similar page(s) for the project(s) you want to run.

Thanks for the advice. I am now running Docker under Ubuntu inside WSL. It will be interesting to see if Boinc Central uses it.
