Terrific Tuesday!

Hey everyone! So I missed mommy Monday, but today was a terrific Tuesday! Coming off a three day weekend work went by fast and then I got to come home to my family!

When I got home Brad was cleaning out the car to take to the dealership- I traded it, and my Yukon, in on a '06 Dodge Mega Cab that looks a lot like Brads truck ( only prettier)! Of course I couldn't actually turn in the car since Brad was still driving it! I am so excited about my new truck!

Isaac was still napping when I got home, which meant I got some time to spend with Abigail. She is getting so stinking big! At 7 1/2 mos she is in 9-12 mos clothing, rolling all over the house and finally starting to eat some big girl foods! Today we tried carrots, she seemed to like those just fine- but some times she still forgets that she has to open her mouth to eat! Though she found it absolutely hilarious when I made the airplane spoon fly into her mouth!

She has also learned to clap- it is so cute now she just sits around and proudly claps her hands!

As some of you know we have had a ton of water this year- way more than normal and tons more than we need! Our field has been under water for weeks- and I am not talking about the field that is normally under water! But I guess I should not complain, while I think our first cutting has been lost- at least this is not my house!

This is a house in LaGrande no where near the river at all! No one expected it, but near as they can figure it funneled right down the mountain and to the streets of town! Poor people!

And this is the dam that Dad spent all day Sunday building to try and keep the water out of this grass pasture.

And this is what it looks like when you spend all day building a dam to try and keep all the water in the valley ( well at least our side of the valley) from flowing through your land and that dam breaks...

And no they do not usually have lakeside property! Right now we can laugh about it, but realistically the water keeps flooding and two fields over- where it is draining from Ladd Marsh towards the house- it is still cascading over the road towards them like a river! Should be interesting to watch. So I will try to keep everyone updated!

mommy monday!

So it has been a long time again- sorry about that, life just gets busy!

So what is new with Isaac...
*He is talking!  Well kinda, just about two days ago he started really using words and telling use what he needs. He can now say:  I poop, I hungry, I go, I want (are you sensing a theme here?), cold, and honey.  It is so cute that he is starting to talk.  Granted it is still hard to understand what in the world he is saying, but he trys really really hard to get his point across!
*He is getting really tall!  So cute to see him dressed up in his little suit on Sundays- he is my little man!  He is several inches taller than his cousin, who is 9 months older then him.  He is my big boy alright!
*He is so gentle and sweet.  And he loves his sister so much.  Recently he has been giving her things- like her baba, or toys, or a binki. Oh yeah and he can say, I share.
*He loves four-wheelers and tractors, and always wants to drive them around!  One of his most favorite things is sitting on our laps while we mow the lawn.

And what is new with Abigail...
*She is also getting to be very big!  She is now wearing 9-12mos clothes, or even just 12mos clothes!  I cant believe it, what happened to my baby?
*She is all over the place, rolling and scooting- but not crawling yet.
*She has her two bottom teeth in!  And she is such a great baby that I didnt even know that she was teething (either time) until after the teeth had broken the surface!
*She is such a big happy girl!  She weighs 18lbs, and is just solid.  And if her height now is any indication she is going to be tall!
*She never chatters, unless we are in church- then she squeals all the time!

I am such a lucky mom to have such great kids!  They are so happy, and love each other so much!

The other day we took the kids out to the Ag-Timber Parade, it was so much fun!  It was an hour long, on the most perfect early summer evening.  And it was full of big trucks, tractors, and farm equipment- all of which Isaac was totally in to!  And for a kid who does not get much candy, he was on a sugar high!  It was so cute!
