Hello lovely readers!
Well, here it is, the last chapter of Over You. I (Meg) updated the very first chapter this morning to include Miranda Lambert’s video for Over You, which is what gave me the idea for this story in the first place. When I first brought this idea to Scribe I thought for sure that she would poo poo it because of the angsty beginning. She’s a big angst baby. But I’d like to think we didn’t go overboard with it, considering how awful a start Eric and Sookie had plot wise. This story grew into something both of us are incredibly proud to have written and we’re elated that so many of you love it and have become to attached to these characters. We appreciate all of the incredibly well thought out reviews that we’ve received over the posting of this story, so thank you for engaging us in discussions as well as reaching out to each other to make telling this story a richer experience for us all. You’re all amazing and we love you.
That said, tomorrow is my birthday and we’ll be posting the first chapter of Stolen. I’ll go ahead and add the Dashboard Confessional’s video there so you can get a sense of what that story will be about. Hopefully that will dull the ache of saying goodbye to this incarnation of Eric and Sookie.
One again, thank you all so much and we hope to see you back tomorrow.
Happy reading!

Preparing for the Oscars is no joke. Preparing with two kids wanting your attention is even more complicated. While Russell’s working on my hair, which has grown out almost to as long as it was when I first moved out to Los Angeles, Ella is twirling around in her little tutu, wanting me to watch her dance. Eric’s got Preston downstairs with him to keep the baby occupied. At almost eleven months old he’s mobile and starting to pull himself up on furniture.
Unlike his sister, Preston stayed put the full forty weeks and came into the world four ounces lighter than she did. Ella will be three in September but she’s taller than some five-year-olds. She’s talking up a storm and thankfully Eric has curbed his swearing in front of her. She’s excited to be starting nursery school in a few months. For now most of her friends are Sophie-Anne’s kids and her baby brother. Our children get along well, although we definitely had to deal with some jealousy issues in the beginning.
Ella was so used to having us to herself and she didn’t like that her brother got to sleep in bed with us, but she’s better about it now. She brings me diapers or bottles after Eric gets them out of the warmer. Like his sister, Preston is fairly laid back and doesn’t cry too much when it isn’t necessary. His hair is a little darker than hers and his eyes are turning colors. It’s looking like they might be brown instead of blue, but we’ll see.
“Mommy, I want curls too,” Ella says as Russell wraps a section of my hair around a big barrel curling iron.
“You already have curls,” I remind her.
“I want curls like you,” she says with her father’s pout.
