Julsies 2nd Birthday

Last year was pretty low-key for Julesie's birthday, so this year since she actually got the concept of "Bird-day," we decided to celebrate it a lot, because we knew she would love every minute of it. We had a party with the Eynon side, and celebrated Kirra and Julia's birthday (they are only 362 days apart.) Then we had a party with the Christiansons, and celebrated Chelsea and Julia's birthday. On Julia's actual birthday, we went and saw the Winnie the Pooh movie, went to dinner, and of course had cake and ice cream and opened presents. She LOVED her birthday- with all the little parties she had, and all the cards that came in the mail (thank you family! It meant a lot to us!) she thought it was her bird-day for like a week straight. Actually, when I get the mail, she still says birthday, thinking there might be something in there for her:) It's crazy how cards are so cool to a two year old! She still takes her cards everywhere we go. The first time she blew out candles, she was scared- by the third time, she was a pro! If you ask her how old she is though, she'll tell you "Bird-day!" Needless to say, she had a good birthday. (PS- thank you grandma and grandpa! She loves the kitchen!!!! Haha I love that picture of her in her dress and heels.... she looks so domestic)
Some things I don't want to forget about this age:
-She is obsessed with any kind of bag or purse. She will not leave the house without something. Even if it's a grocery sack...
-She LOVES to dance, and has the best booty shake... she dances like she's doing the chicken dance.
-She is terrified of her big toy balls... she throws them in the bathroom every morning, and slams the door shut. If you bounce one of them, she will freak out. Haha
-She is also terrified of balloons. We had one get stuck in the fan and pop, and that was that.
-She is pretty much terrified of everything lately:)
-She is beginning to talk really well... every day she is saying new words... today we heard "animal" for the first time!
-Loves dress-up and princess movies. She is a total girl.
-Her favorite place in the world is for sure the beach here in Florida. That little fishy could swim all day in the waves.... she LOVES to swim.
Happy second birthday to our sweet little girl!

California!

Alright, now that I've been back from California for a month, I guess I should finally post about my trip home.
IT WAS A BLAST! There's nothing better than being home with my family. So really quick I'll write some highlights from the trip:
-Seeing Scott and Chelsea bless their baby Henry (Julia's first cousin on the Glenn side!)Haha it was too funny- Julia was so confused why Scott looked like Daddy, but why he was also different too. It was kind of sad- we even had to call Brian on the phone while she kept trying to snuggle up to Scott, because she was so confused:)
-Spending lots of time with both our families
-Going to the beach (even though Julia was terrified of scary Pacific Ocean waves)
-Eating our faces off at the Orange County Fair with my family, the Preeces, and the Eliasons- and then riding the most ridiculous rides after. We all thought we were going to puke!!!
-Catching up with old friends:)
-Having Whit Dub come party with us for a few days... so fun to see her!
-Staying at the resort Jeff works at in Palm Springs... so beautiful. And the kids had a blast (even though Julia would not sleep until 1:00am. Sorry Chris!)
-Going to water parks and Disneyland a few times with my family
-Hearing my parents speak at their farewell, and seeing all the friends and family who came into town to hear them speak
-Celebrating Julia's birthday with family
-Eating In N Out and Miguel's Jr. and Yogurtland
-Getting pedicures and massages
-watching the kids wrestle and play with Nana and Papa like we used to as kids...

Lowlight (Is that what you would call it?):
-Having to say goodbye to my parents for the next 18 mos. while they serve a mission in the Canary Islands... happy to have them serving, but sad to see them go:(

We had so much fun in California though, thanks everyone for playing with us! We love you all!
