How the hell am I supposed to open this post? I’m talking about every single anime in 2008, the best and the worst in every category. I haven’t seen everything this year obviously, such as Aria, ef, Shigofumi and DMC, but I’ve had a chance to check out pretty much everything else. Anyway, here we go 😀
Since I'm limiting this to only anime which began airing in 2008, there will be no Gintama. But it deserves a mention anyway for being so consistently funny
In case none of you took notice, I have not made any update on this blog for quite sometime. That is simply because I was not home and gone internet silent for almost a week. At least I got through the anxious period of waiting for my semester result, which was fine BTW. So I was away from my hometown of Miri to Kuching for vacation. Also I made a visit to the Apple Store because the Apple Store at my hometown has not bring in the new Macbook. So here I was in Kuching to “fondle” the new Macbook and I was so excited like a little kid before I actually gave a test-drive on it. I must say, as far as the specs are concerned, the new Macbook is more superior. However, the new multitouch trackpad is still quite a hassle to use simply because the click was a little too soft for my touch. Maybe it’s because I am a rough computer handler anyway.
As for the Nodame reviews, that have to wait because my PC at home got a virus attack. Twice. Long story short, I could not manage to finish a review in time and probably make one soon after once I am back to my campus.
On another matter, there’s the new Dell Studio 14. The Studio line is the best from Dell so far and the 14 inch variant is great for mobility.

I got a bit confused recently when I thought I was the only person on WordPress saying anything about Michiko to Hatchin. Then when I get rid of the ‘anime’ part, it turns out there are a load of people blogging this. Why mine only shows up when you add in ‘anime’ is completely beyond me.
But that’s besides the point. Onwards and forwards to a Hatchin dominated episode. Which means it will be a great episode, right….right?
I was going to be lazy and review episodes 8 and 9 together, I’d even written this bit on the top saying that. But as soon as I got writing I realised I had plenty to say about this episode.

I was just checking my gmail when I saw this particular email from Crunchyroll. As we all know, crunchyroll is ran by a fan of anime unlike youtube which is a professional video upload site. Many have been getting their anime fix from crunchyroll and Japanese companies lose revenue. However, change have finally come as crunchyroll will be teaming up with the Japanese companies to allow legal streaming of anime. For a fee, of course. Read on to find out more.
While most other anime are coming to a close, or at least a suitable halfway point, Michiko to Hatchin due to it’s late start is only on episode 7. Hence, It’s still actually hard to know exactly what to make of this show, especially since it hasn’t been the most consistent in tones.
Mind you, the animation is as amazing as ever.
Finally, after 25 days of waiting, it has finally arrived. Luckily, I had a chalet to take time off right after exams (made some short clips of stopmotion while I was the Anime Club’s chalet) so it’s a better late than never arrival of IT.
Took some pictures of what’s inside IT, post them here and I will be jumping right back into the wastelands!

No, it’s not exactly Setsuna F. Seiei. If it is him, my bet will be on Marina Ismail. Anyways, Setsuna’s seiyuu, Miyano Mamoru, had released a statement to tell the whole world that he is getting married and is expecting a child. The latter would be the reason why he would get married in the first place, if you ask me. In a very awkward feeling video statement, Miyano expressed shocked and relief about the expecting child because according to him, he got infertility issues. Announcing to the world that you’re getting married and about to have a child together is one thing, but to tell that he’s impotent deserves him a salute for having the biggest balls to reveal all though that may not be in case in reality. He was delighted to know that he is having a child soon as he said that he loves children very much and having his own despite being infertile makes him a happy man. For that, I will cheer him on and offer up my congratulations to him.
The video statement is about 15 minutes long; made unnecessarily long due to his long, awkward pauses. I can’t tell if he is emotional throughout the statement but some suggested he might. If you ask me though, it seems that he is still thinking over what to tell to the whole world. Talk about raw unscripted drama, minus the dr. Now, to the video. It is divided into 2 parts due to the 10-minute cap by Youtube. Anyhow, dozou!
