Bryan Dumas is a freelance writer. He has contributed articles for American Survival Guide and Survivor’s Edge magazines and is a regular book reviewer for Publishers Weekly (Sci-fi, horror, fantasy in both adult and YA departments) and the Historical Novel Society. He has taught high school AP U.S. history, SPED U.S. history, and Gov./Econ, as well as middle school Social Studies. Currently, he is also a reviews editor with HNS and their magazine Historical Novels Review working with various publishers (Kensington, Other, Europa, Sourcebooks, and Tyndale) and independent small presses. He has also written curriculum for the Colorado Council for Economic Education.
He is a member of the Historical Novel Society and has earned his B.A. in history from the University of Alaska, Anchorage and M.A. in history from Colorado State University. He lives in Colorado with his wife, son, and neurotic dog.
