Car & Motorcycle expo Brussels

Earls Court, 1964, Caron Gardner on a Bantam De Luxe
1964 was the bantam still in production.
Nowday's at expo's you can't find a lightweight classic styling motorcycle anymore! So what could we find?
Kawasaki W800. Big heavy bike but looks fun to drive!
Skyteam Dream 50. Nice try. I just don't like how they finished it! Maybe with aftermarket parts but still.
Dont ask :-)
Yeah Cool styling. as usual loose the mirrors... I wonder how it handels!

Triumph scrambler. Now that's a bike i want when i'm 50. Make me a 150cc / 250cc and i'm sold!

So for now. I'll stay with the bantam! :-)
ps: There was a very nice vintage car & motorcycle museum ... will upload when i have more time.

DKW Copy

I found this little motorcycle in the Motola motor museum in sweden.

The engine looks like the DKW unit!

But it's a NV motorcycle...

1951... Just after the war.
Wikipedia: Nymanbolagen (aka Nymans AB or just Nymans) was a Swedish bicycle, moped, and motorcycle manufacturing company in Uppsala, Sweden.

In 1947 Nymans Verkstäder in Uppsala, Lindblads Verkstäder (Amerikansk Cycleimport) in Stockholm and some minor bicycle companies, formed Nymanbolagen AB, situated in Uppsala, Sweden.

Nymans also manufactured small two cycle outboard boat engines.

In 1961 Nymanbolagen merged with the bicycle company Monark AB in Varberg, Sweden into Monark-Crescentbolagen or MCB. Later all production took place in Varberg.

The factory in Varberg is now owned by Grimaldi Industri AB via its bicycle company Cycleurope, also producing Bianchi, Gitane, Puch and some other brands.

You're never alone when you ride a Bantam, allegedly!

A lot of folk like BSA's Bantam. I've owned a few over the years (most of them a very long way off) but they are too small for a gent of my size to be comfortable on. However, for everyone else they have loads of advantages, like they're cheap to buy, cheap to run, and are well served in the spares arena. They're everso easy to work on, and have a mighty fan base, too. You're never alone when you ride a Bantam, allegedly!

And here was a decent enough array of BSA strokery; half a dozen Bantams from £300 to £600. A Bantam for Everyman, almost, ranging from the humble workers right through to the late sporty variant nearest the camera. They were all described as being in 'ride-away-today' condition, and man who had them was John Bull,

"We really enjoyed doing it. It was great to meet some very entertaining and interesting characters. Despite horrible rain at times spirits remained high. Your members are a really great bunch of genuine people united by a common passion - I think you're running a fantastic Club." RC Reporter Peter Twyman
