Although she doesn't celebrate birthdays due to her professed Jehovah's Witness faith,
Serena Williams birthday is this week (Thursday September 26) when she turned 38 years old. She is one of
only four women who have been ranked in the Top 10 over the age of 38:
Venus Williams (38 years and 29 days),
Martina Navratilova (38 years and 75 days), and
Billie Jean King (39 years 322 days).
Amazingly, for the second year in a row, Serena reached 2 consecutive major finals (Wimbledon and U.S. Open) and lost
both of them without winning a set. Regardless, I still have confidence that she will eventually win major title number 24.
