winter greetings

Sorry I am a little late with my post today but Micah spent the night so Mom and Dad could have a Halloween party. Needless to say he just went home and I need a nap.

This first card is for Friday Sketchers and immediately when I saw the sketch I knew that I was going to use my new PTI tree die.

My second card is for the paperdolls challenge over at papertrey paperdolls and I created this really simple card using the new Martha Stewart snowflake punch and some BoBunny 6x6 papers from the "midnight frost" collection.

Well I hope you enjoy and if you do leave me a comment and tell me what you think. I will be back tomorrow with a card and maybe a Halloween photo of my two favorite little ones Micah and Cassie Jo.

Enjoy!

introducing the wagon tale series ~ ESS106

If you have not heard yet Lori Boyd introduced a brand new series of digis yesterday called "The Wagon Tale Series" and they will be sold exclusively at By LORi Designs.

I created my first card using this weeks sketch over at Eat Sleep Stamp using papers by BasicGrey from the "pyrus" collection, buttons are PTI "autumn". I added a little glossy accents to the pumpkin.

So let me introduce you to PJ Henry and Sam & PJ Katie and Grace who are actually Puddle Jumpers but not as toddler like so they will be known as PJ's.

Aren't they just adorable? When you buy one of these digis you will get two versions. One version will have just plain pumpkins in the wagon and the other version will have pumpkins with a face.

Lori says she is looking forward to adding to Wagon Tale Series and adding all kinds of things that can go into the wagon.

Enjoy!

if friends were

I am so excited to announce that I have joined the design team over at "a day for daisies". I just love the digital images that Tammy creates and could not wait to use them.

Don't you just love this Poppy image? Living in Minnesota we don't get the chance to see poppies and they remind me so much of my childhood, growing up in Northern California. I knew I wanted to create a tag to send to a friend using this image.

I hope you will stop over at ADFD and check out Tammy's images. There is a challenge going on right now and a new one starting next week where I will post my first card as a DT member.

Stop back tomorrow as I have a couple of new images byLORIdesigns and you are going to fall in love with them just like I did.

Enjoy!

wanted ~ butterflies

Well our weather here has definitely taken a turn for the worst. The winds are blowing so hard it feels like our roof is going to blow away. Old man winter is knocking on our doors and whistling through the cracks of my very old house.

Today I have a card that I made using the new Cosmo Cricket 6x6 mini deck "wanted". I love the colors in this collection and I even stamped a birthday definition on the oval in pumice stone.

Along with the wanted papers I used a nestability oval die, Martha Stewart butterfly punch and a pebblesinc., rubon. Here is the sketch that inspired this card.

I hope you enjoy and maybe feel motivated to play along with us at Techno Stampers.

Okay that is it for me today. Stop back tomorrow for something new.

Enjoy!

Now onto this weeks card and sketch.

For this weeks card I used up some scraps from Jillibean Soup "soup staples ~ red sugar" and added a few McGill branches, SRM stickers and buttons from my stash.

I am looking forward to seeing what you create with this weeks sketch.

baby, it's cold outside brrr...

Oh how true is the above statement. Our weather here in Minnesota is cold, wet and windy. A good day to stay inside and catch up on some shows I watch and create some cards.

My first card is for the challenges over at Friday Sketchers and it also qualifies for this weeks challenge over at Tuesday Throwdown where the challenge was to make the sentiment the focal point of your card.

I am loving these stickers from SRM as well as this new 6x6 paper collection from Memory Box called "tinsel". Don't you just love "ballet mouse" byLORIdesigns?

Here is the sketch that inspired my card.

I hope you enjoy!

presley ~ happy birthday

I have a couple cards to share with you today and the first one is for this weeks challenge over at Eat Sleep Stamp and I have used digital Lollipop Presley byLORIdesigns on my card.

My card was inspired by this sketch and I used some BoBunny papers. Notice the cute watermark on my card. That was made by the amazingly talented Lori for all of us design team members.

Enjoy!

Stop back tomorrow for my card for the newest challenge over at Sasya's Sketches.

joy ~ happy holidays

I always enjoy doing the challenges at clean and simple and this weeks ftl90 is no exception. Such a fun sketch.

In fact I had so much fun with this sketch that I did two cards. The first card follows the sketch and the second card brings out  a little bit of the rebel in me.

For the first card I used my new BoBunny 6x6 paper pad from the "midnight frost" collection. I added some basicgreybuttons and 3 snowflakes along with a pebblesinc., rubon.

The second card uses paper from "mitten weather" by Cosmo Cricket, button twine from Jillibean Soup, mini market stickers by October Afternoon. Aren't the little mittens so cute and how perfect with the "mitten weather" papers.

I will be back tomorrow with this weeks card and sketch for Sasya's Sketches.
Enjoy!

just because

I have this card sitting on my desk just looking at me and decided I needed to share it with you. I just love how it turned out. So simple and yet so masculine.

I totally love this Tim Holtz embossing folder. The paper is called "grocery bag". I added some natural twine and rubons and a masculine card was born.

I can't wait to try this as a Christmas card in either all white or green.

Enjoy!

my friend ~ my enabler

If you are like me you probably have someone in your life who enables you just a little bit. Well I am special and have two friends who do that to me. Not to mention any names but Arielle knows my love of digital images and coloring them and is always showing me something that I have to have. My other friend Amy is always showing me stamps and papers I just have to get.

Today is no different. Yesterday she had me buy that adorable little Mummy and today it was all about this cute little witch over at The Flower Basket Challenge. They have challenge #4 up which is called black out and you get this cute little witch FREE.

How could I resist a new challenge and a free Witch? I used this weeks card sketch from Card Patterns along with some Cosmo Cricket "matilda" papers and some of my handmade wrinkle ribbon. Don't you just love this black one. I made orange and black to celebrate Halloween.

So now that I have rambled way too much here is the card.

Well I think this will be the last Halloween card for me for this year. All my other ones went postal today to some family and friends.

Enjoy!

winter wonderland

I figured I better get this card posted before the challenge ends today. My card is for Day 238 which is Super Sketchy Sunday over at 365 Cards.

I used a snow globe stamp and colored it in with Copics then added some liquid embroidery for the snow. I cut the image apart to achieve the 4 blocks as in the sketch below. The background of my card is embossed with the sizzix snowflake embossing folder.

Enjoy!

my lil' punkin ~ sssc90

Some of my blog friends are such enablers. While doing a little blurfing on Sunday I came across this cute card by Arielle and immediately had to go and buy this little mummy digital over at Mo's digital pencil.

I decided to use him for this weeks Sweet Sunday Sketch Challenge. I grabbed my Copic markers and some BoBunny "whoo-ligans" papers and started creating.

I hope if I have enabled you just a little bit you will play along with this sketch challenge too. This card will be going postal this week to my lil' punkin Micah who will be going "trick or treating" as a little monkey.

Enjoy!

flashback friday 4.0

My friend Amy has another challenge for us this week called "Flashback Friday 4.0" and her challenge to us is to repost our first Christmas Card on our blog. Well I thought this would be easy but I had to go back to June 15, 2009 to find mine.

My card was created for a challenge over at "Winter Wonderland". I did a lot of their challenges last year and got quite a few cards done.

You can see my original post here.

And here is that card.

It looks like I kind of went crazy with the ribbons.
enjoy!

anything goes ~ tuesday throwdown #22

It is Saturday and that means I am working at Anchor Paper today. I am excited to see what is new in the store and to also pick out papers and stamps for our December card club that I will be teaching along with Bonnie and Kathy at the store.

I have a card for you before I head out the door and it is for this weeks challenge over at Tuesday Throwdown. This weeks challenge is anything goes.

So while I was watching Dexter I made my card.

I used papers from the Cosmo Cricket 6x6 mini deck "mitten weather" that I just got in the mail along with this beautiful BoBunny Petal flower. I cut my card using Nestabilities "label 8" die and added some kaisercraft pearls.

Enjoy!

how cute is this???

Isn't this card just adorable? It was created by Lori Boyd.
She used Lollipop Princess, Lollipop Avery (the Ballerina) and a smaller sized (to be a little sister) Lollipop Bumble Bee....added a few "Trick or treat" Bags and Voila...a threesome ready for Halloween Fun!! Lori said she may cut it up for a scrapbook page. She is so clever. What a great way to recycle cards.

The best part part is that she is having a sale and with a $10 purchase you get this "little bags" for free. But hurry as this gift with purchase ends October 31st!

Enjoy!

happy holidays

Another quick card for you since I am still out of town visiting family.

This card is for the new challenge over at Techno Stamper and it is a sketch challenge.

For my card I used papers from Little Yellow Bicycle along with my BasicGrey embossing folders by Sizzix. Notice how the little tree on my card matches the embossing folder. I love that BasicGrey got Sizzix to make embossing folders to match last years holiday papers. I added some pom-pom ribbon and rubon by pebblesinc..

Enjoy!

Another quick card to share with you before I head out the door and up to North Dakota for a couple days to visit my oldest sister and also to meet my nephews newest addition to his family.

My card is for this weeks sketch challenge over at Clean and Simple Stamping. It is a square card this week and I have used my new Cosmo Cricket "wanted" mini deck along with some of my handmade wrinkle ribbon.

I absolutely love the colors in this paper pack the browns, blues and greens are just yummy.

I wanted to show you the sketch that inspired my card but blogger is not behaving for me today and only lets me upload one card.

I have post scheduled to go up while I am away since I will not have access to my blog while I am gone.

happy birthday ~ Maurice

I think I am in love with digital images and coloring them in. Maybe it is because I get a chance to practice coloring. When I saw this digital image called "Maurice ~ Ready for Business" by Polly Craft Designs I could not resist buying him.

I am not sure why I have a blue cast in my background so I apologize for the not so great photo. I colored Maurice in with my Copics added some Cosmo Cricket "tiny type" stickers and a few dew drops. The background is the new 5x7 Cuttlebug die.

My Card was inspired by this weeks sketch #76 over at Unscripted Sketches. Did you notice I did not use any patterned paper on this card? Just Neenah solar white linen, basis red, and PTI enchanted evening.

Enjoy!

I used some new papers from Jillibean Soup along with some Webster Pages ribbon roses that I had been hoarding for awhile.

The papers are from The Little Yellow Bicycle, the snowflake is a Cuttlebug die and the button is from PTI.
