noel ~ jolly good fun

Happy Tuesday and if the weatherman is right I should wake up to a couple more inches of snow on the ground today. We are having some weird weather here in Minnesota lately. Yesterday, it was 41 degrees and raining most of the day. Sure hope it isn't a skating rink out there this morning.

I have a couple cards to share with you and the first one uses some kraft cardstock and "mitten weather" by Cosmo Cricket.

I added a Martha Stewart snowflake and a PTI vintage button from the "holiday mix". My card was inspired by this weeks sketch 118 over at Clean and Simple.

This next card was fun to make and an easy one to color up. I used some BoBunny "midnight frost" papers, a couple Martha Stewart Snowflakes, buttons are from PTI and the embossing folder is by Sizzix.

My inspiration came from this weeks sketch over at Just add Ink. Isn't this a fun and easy sketch with lots of possibilities?

I hope you enjoy and I will be back tomorrow with this weeks Sasya's Sketches Challenge #39.

I hope you will leave me a comment and let me know what you think of my cards. Good or Bad I want to hear from you.

oh no ~ late again

I thought I had a challenge card to share with you today, but while surfing my google reader I found out the challenge was over so...now I am just going to share a couple of cards with you.

This first card was originally for the challenge over at Limelight Papercrafts but now it is just a card to show you. Thanks to Mandi I found a challenge for this card and it is the Keep it Simple challenge blog and this week the challenge is to use Joy on your card.

This was a fun card to make once I decided on which of the 7 embossed backgrounds I was going to use. The papers are by Cosmo Cricket from the "mitten weather" collection as is the chipboard button. The stamp is by A Muse and the snowflake is Martha Stewart.

This next card is a just because card. I got a new die from PTI and wanted to try it out and that meant creating a card. The stamp is from a friend who bought a new set and wasn't crazy about these two little guys so she gave it to me. The sentiment is also by PTI. Snowflakes embossing folder is Sizzix. This card is 3.5" x 5.5" I really like this size.

Enjoy!

365 Cards ~ Vintage Love

Okay this is going to be a long post as I am trying to squeeze a couple of different cards into this post that I made for the challenge over at 365 Cards the theme this week is Vintage Love.

Day 268 "vintage plus stamping" so I used my new PTI dress form die and rolled flower die along with a stamp by A Muse. The snowflake is Martha Stewart and the papers are Memory Box "tinsel".

For my next card I combined Day 269 "vintage plus distressing" with the sketch from Mojo Monday. I distressed all the edges with the Tim Holtz distresser and then added vintage photo distress ink to everything. The ribbon is some of my handmade wrinkle ribbon mixed with a Martha Stewart snowflake and a PTI rolled flower. The vintage photo is one from my collection I have gathered through the years.

Here is the sketch that inspired my card.

This next card is for Day 270 "vintage plus dimensional sticker". I used a Crafty Secrets Christmas sticker that I added pop dots to so it would be dimensional on the card. Papers are once again Memory Box, along with the rolled flower, the branch is a McGill punch.

The sketch that inspired my card is this weeks sketch challenge over at Waltzing Mouse.
My last card is for Day 271 "vintage plus lace" and this is my favorite out of the cards I created today. Once again the papers are Memory Box (see I told you I loved them), Martha Stewart snowflake, PTI button and twine, the image is from my collection. I distressed everything with vintage photo distress ink and I colored the victorian lace with some teal Glimmer Mist.

I hope you enjoy my cards and I am hoping to be back tomorrow with one more card from 365 which is the recipe card.

Enjoy!

celebrate the season

I hope everyone here in the states had a great Thanksgiving. I am still away from home so hope you are reading this post.

It is Friday and that means time for a new release by Tammy over at A Day for Daisies. And my card is made from one of those new images. Isn't she just adorable?

I used some of the Cosmo Cricket "mitten weather" papers for my card along with a button from PTI and some bakers twine from the twinery.

I decided I should have paid more attention to the teachers in art class as my coloring capabilities are sorely lacking. Or maybe it is the lack of Copics in my life.

Enjoy!

adrian ~ 6 months

I am trying to get into the routine of doing some scrapbooking each week so what a better way to start out than with a page of my grandnephew Adrian.

This layout is for a contest over at Echo Park where we are to use papers from The Boys collection to create a layout. I won these papers two weeks ago and finally got to use some of them.

I want to wish all of my friends here in the states a Happy Thanksgiving.

Enjoy!

For my card I used papers and chipboard from the Cosmo Cricket "Circa 1934" collection. I love the papers in this collection.

vintage love ~ day 267

It is "vintage love" week over at 365 Cards and I knew immediately that I had to play along this week. Vintage is one of my true loves when it comes to making cards and I just don't do it often enough.

So the challenge for Day 267 is to create a card and use a stick pin in it.

For my card I have used one of the new released images by Tammy over at A Day for Daisies called "waiting" from the vintage grace collection.

The papers are Cosmo Cricket "circa 1934", the ribbon is more of my handmade wrinkle ribbon, and the stickpin and pin are from my stash.

Enjoy!

hello and hi

I have a couple of cards to share with you today and I want to apologize for the not so great photos, but I had to take photos without a good light source.

My first card is for this weeks challenge over at Clean and Simple. I don't know why but his card does not look CAS because of the papers and embellishments.

For this card I used a new BasicGrey collection that I got as a birthday gift from a friend (thanks friend) it is called Marjolaine and it is just beautiful. This is the sketch that inspired my card.

My second card is for the challenge at Sweet Sunday Sketch and once again I have used the "marjolaine" papers, along with the "woolies" and diecuts. See that wonderful border punch at the bottom that is also a birthday gift from another sweet friend.

Here is the sketch in case you want to play along.

I feel so blessed to have met so many wonderful people through my love of cardmaking and scrapbooking. So this week along with Thanksgiving I celebrate all of you.

Thanks for stopping by and for your wonderful comments. I may be missing most of this week as I will be spending time with family, but will try and do some scheduled post if time allows.

Enjoy!

vintage grace

Every Friday is new release day over at A Day for Daisies and this week I just could not resist getting a couple of images and playing with them.

I knew immediately I wanted to create a card using the "40's View" lady and that I wanted to use Cosmo Cricket "Circa 1934" papers with her.

I found the perfect sketch for this image over at Taylored Expressions.

I will be showing a few more cards in the next couple days using more of the newest releases.

Enjoy!

a note of thanks ~ ADFD

If you haven't heard me say it before I have to say that I just love digital images. They are easy to store, you can make them any size you want and the coloring options are almost unlimited.

My card today is for Challenge #6 over at A Day for Daisies and this week Tammy's theme is "Attitude of Gratitude". Create any card using a sentiment of gratitude. But here's the catch...you have to come up with the sentiment and design yourself! No pre-made thanks allowed!

For my card I am using one of Tammy's newest releases called "holiday mail" isn't it just adorable?

I hope you play along and if you do ~ don't forget to link up your card so we can check it out.

Enjoy!

for on to us

I apologize for all the post the last couple days but Lori Boyd has been creating up a storm and when I see her images I can't help but want to make a card or two or ten.

This is another of her new Christmas images "nativity" puddle jumpers available here.

I apologize the photo isn't the greatest but it is dark outside and there is not a lot of light in my craftroom. In the background on the card you can see my new hero arts stamp I got in the mail today "fabulous flourish". I could not wait to ink that stamp up. I used another Martha Stewart snowflake, some twine and a button along with some of my wrinkle ribbon.

Enjoy!

Stop  back tomorrow for the newest challenge over at A Day for Daisies.

merry ~ merry MTSC100

I have a couple of cards for you today using some more of the new releases byLORidesigns. My first card uses Lollipop Tanner and Christmas Tree which were just released.

This card was inspired by this weeks sketch over at Lord Have Mercy and along with the great sketch I used my new Echo Park "everybody loves christmas" papers and some of my handmade wrinkle ribbon. Wasn't so sure about the pink but I think I like it.

This next card is a just because I love the image card and wanted to color it up right away. This is also one of Lori's newest releases called "snow family" and it can be found here.

Along with the image I used a Sizzix embossing folder and some more of my handmade wrinkle ribbon, a couple of martha Stewart Snowflakes, and some bakers twine from the twinery.

What do you think of this cute little family?

Don't forget you have until Sunday to enter my birthday give away for some of my handmade ribbons. I just counted and I currently have about 20 different colors in stock.

Enjoy!

merry ~ in my dreams

I have a couple of cards for you that I wanted to get posted before the challenges expire on me like last week.

This first card is for this weeks challenge over at Karen Giron's blog SSSC93 for this sketch I pulled out some of my new BasicGrey "curio" papers and diecuts along with a Martha Stewart butterfly punch. The bling on the butterfly was a gift from my friend Amy.

This next card uses my new Echo Park papers that I won last week on FaceBook. Echo Park is always doing all these fun contest where you can win an entire collection. Well Last week was my lucky week as I got two new collections from them.

My card was inspired by this weeks sketch over at Mojo Monday and along with the Echo Park papers I added some of my handmade wrinkle ribbon, a Martha Stewart snowflake, and PTI button and twine.

You still have time to enter to win some of my handmade wrinkle ribbon. Scroll down to see the post. I will draw a winner on Sunday.

Enjoy!

New Kids on the Block

No not the boy band. Lori Boyd has done it again and has released some awesome images over at The Lollipop Shop.

So lets meet the kids.

First up here is Lollipop Abby and to create my card I used this weeks challenge over at Techno Stamper. You will notice that I did not use any patterned paper for this card and it isn't because I didn't want to, it was because I don't have a good selection of red, white, and blue papers. Can you recommend some?

Here is the sketch from Techo Stamper that inspired my card.

Next up meet Landon Puddle Jumper who is one of the newest stamps byLORidesigns that have been turned into a digital image and available exclusively here.

This is the sketch that inspired by my card and a new challenge sketch blog for me called Stamping 411. For this card I pulled out my "oliver" papers by BasicGrey and my "just the ticket" stamp set and die from PTI.

Last I want to introduce you to baby addy and she is a "sweetpea"! Yep, a brand new collection from Lori.

Sorry for the long post but I wanted to get all of these NKOTB in one post as I have more stuff to share with you. Think Christmas.

Scroll down for my Sasya's Sketches card.

Enjoy!

For my card I decided to use Cosmo Cricket "mitten weather" along with a sticker from SRM and the new Martha Stewart Snowflake punch.

I hope you will play along this week.

New Kids on the Block

A few new Puddle Jumper Digis have just been added to the By LORI Designs Shop

hello ~ gs#64 and ess#108

I have a couple of cards for you today and they both use one of the new digi stamps by LORi designs "introducing lollipop Kaylee".

My first card is for this weeks sketch challenge over at Get Sketchy. I haven't played along with them for awhile but could not resist this weeks sketch. I decided to keep my card pretty simple and just emboss my paper, cut out a border and then along with the image I added some of my handmade wrinkle ribbon in grass green.

And here is the sketch that inspired my card. I apologize that the picture is not the greatest it is real gray and dull out and I can't get a shot. This will probably happen most of the winter months here in Minnesota.

My next card also used Lollipop Kaylee by LORi designs and my card is for Tracy's challenge over at Eat Sleep Stamp . This card uses a Sizzix embossing folder along with some BoBunny papers.

My card was inspired by this sketch.

Thanks for stopping by and leaving me a comment. In honor of my birthday which was last week I am going to do a random drawing from the comments and will pick one person to win some of my handmade wrinkle ribbons.

Enjoy!

merry christmas ~ twisted sketches

I have a quick card to share with you and this one is for Twisted Sketches and this weeks twist is to use brads on your card.

For this sketch I used papers by Cosmo Crickets "mitten weather". The snowflakes are silver brads that I painted white and then before they were dry I sprinkled glitter on them. The sentiment is a pebblesinc., rubon.
Enjoy!

merry and bright

Mother Nature sure did hit us this past weekend. On Saturday she gave us our first taste of snow in the amount of 11". Only in Minnesota can we go from 70 degrees on Tuesday to 11" of snow on Saturday.

In honor of the snow I have a card to share with you using the newest sketch over at Waltzing Mouse blog and one of the newest digi releases by Tammy over at A Day for Daisies.

I love the simplicity of this little image called "christmas light fairy" mixed with these Cosmo Cricket papers from the "mitten weather" mini deck.

Here is the sketch that inspired my card. As soon as I saw this sketch I knew exactly what image I would use for my card.
Enjoy!

~ recipe ~
paper: neenah solar white cardstock, cosmo cricket mitten weather
ink: memento black
stamp: digital image by a day for daisies "christmas fairy lights"
accessories: jillibean bakers twine, basicgrey button, copic markers
