I get a lot of questions about my ratings and review policy. I do what Goodreads does, as explained below. So if I give a book 3 stars, that means I liked the book. Not everyone is comfortable with that, but I feel strongly that there has to be a way to distinguish between good books, very good books and great books. Those are my 3s, 4s and 5s:

5 stars – it was amazing
4 stars – really liked it
3 stars – liked it
2 stars – it was ok
1 stars- did not like it
