Featured is Solarity’s Quilamuta Floating Solar Plant in Las Cabras, Chile. Part of Brookfield Renewable’s portfolio of companies, Solarity operates the largest floating solar system in the Southern Cone. The plant has a reported installed capacity of 1,090 kWp, with 1,998 solar modules mounted on 2,493 floats across an agricultural reservoir spanning 1 hectare. It provides around 40% of the electricity demand at Fundo Quilamuta while helping reduce water evaporation and maintain cooler panel temperatures for greater efficiency. This project exemplifies how renewable energy innovation can deliver clean power and enhance resource sustainability in agriculture.
