Piteau Associates is honored to announce the promotion of Catherine Hughes to Principal Hydrologist Catherine holds a PhD in Hydrology and has recently returned to her home country of South Africa. She has nearly 20 years of professional experience in environmental management, hydrology, sustainability, and climate change in the private consulting, NGO, and academic sectors. She is currently focused on water balance modeling and has worked in Australia, Europe, Central Asia, and extensively throughout Africa on mining projects. She emphasizes client support, collaboration, and training. She enjoys mentoring, as well as teaching environmental skills and concepts at the university level. His expertise spans three decades, during which he has contributed to high-profile projects across the western US, from Alaska to Arizona. Brian's role involves developing teams and innovative solutions for complex hydrogeological challenges, ensuring sustainable water management practices in industrial operations. He holds a Master's degree in Hydrogeology, is a recognized member of several professional societies, and cherishes his involvement in university and hydro community outreach. Brian is known for his dedication to recruiting, mentoring, team building, and client service.
