Judy Sisneros, 

quilt designer, teacher & author, will be here Saturday, February 7 to teach Circle Pizzazz. Her goal as a teacher is that each student go away happy, with a unique quilt - not a copy of everybody else's in the workshop. Her books continue to be best sellers.

Jean Impey

will be here April 18 from Southern California to 

share her passion for quilting with all levels of quilters. She uses a wide variety of techniques with incredible results.

 Marjan Kluepfel,  

fabric artist & quilt teacher will be here May 16.

She uses fabric and thread as her medium instead of paper and paint....and a sewing machine instead of a brush.

She grew up in the Netherlands, & has lived & taught around the world. She is now at home in Northern California.

Lynne Pillus-The Mechanical Quilt

We truly enjoyed Lynne's visit to Calico Mermaid! 

It was so exciting to have a designer of her caliber teach in our shop.

 

She & her husband Dan had a lovely meal at our favorite local restaurant, 

El Tapatio!

Then Saturday she got down to the nuts & bolts of teaching her technique.

 The fabric was sorted according to value - because "Color doesn't count."

 

 

X-Blocks' Patricia Pepe - Quilt Queen!

I'm so excited! 

Patricia Pepe, X-Blocks designer, will be at Calico Mermaid on Monday, April 15!

Her gorgeous just samples arrived & you're going to LOVE them!!!!

 She will show us how to use her tools & make lots of different designs from each tool.

The Penelope Pattern is so versatile - just choose your block/tool size & the size of your project.

You can choose to make a table runner with little blocks, or big blocks for a full on quilt!

It's like a "Choose Your Own Adventure!"

This is the Penelope Pattern we'll be learning from Patricia! We're so lucky to have her visit. I can hardly wait. (Did I say that already?!)

 The class is filling up, so reserve your space soon. 

It's 10-4 on April 15.

Barbara Daniel

Barbara was our featured artist for the Art Walk, & we're so happy she'll be teaching a Snippets class.
She does beautiful work, & I know the class will be terrific! You'll love this technique.

What an amazing week!

Here's 11 year old Faith with her very first quilt! It's a Jelly Roll quilt, & she's going to enter it in a quilt show after she ties it with buttons. She was in the shop today, ready to start another quilt!
Here's Becky Rogers with her gorgeous landscapes. We're so lucky to have her in P'ville from Morro Bay for the class. What a lovely week we had with her.
