A girls day.

While the boys had a guys day skiing. We had a girls day of taking pictures and getting a yummy treat! I am just in love with this girl. Yes she is very demanding at times, but I am so grateful for my little Olivia. She is so excited for her baby brother to come, but I can tell she is a little worried about her spot being taken. She asked me last night, if Dad could hold the baby so I can just hold her. Hmmm lets hope she adjusts well to this new little one.
As for Owen he is his Dads little sidekick, whatever Chris is involved with Owen is. Chris is in scouts and Owen is always having pack meetings and carrying binders around scheduling more pack meetings. Good thing Liv is such a sport and will play along with him. On Saturday he planned a guys day with Chris and made a list and this was their to do list for the day;
1. Play spies
2. Play Basketball
3. Watch Basketball
4. ? (this one was a mystery because he didn't want me to know that they were going to target to get another folder, the boy honestly has enough folders to supply his whole kindergarten class.)
And Chris played along with him all day and helped him cross everything off his list. No wonder why Chris is Owen's best friend!

Procrastination.

Most often this word doesn't provide the best outcome, but in this certain case it has. Our Stake president has asked our stake to read the Book of Mormon (which was several months back) and finish by March 20th. And sure enough I forgot and kept putting it off. Well it wasn't until a couple of Sundays ago that one of our Stake leaders reminded us about what we were asked to do and assured us that if we did this that our own lives would be blessed. How could I not complete this simple task? So I took it upon myself to really do this from that day on. I have read 10 or more pages everyday since, and can honestly say that I know what blessings he was talking about. Usually I get my spiritual fill on Sunday and then during the week I am distracted and am pulled in many directions which most of the time does not have any effect on my spiritual gain or outcome. But because I am reading everyday, everything that is important has been on the fore front of my mind instead of on the back burner.
I was reading this mothers blog who's beautiful 5 year old just passed away from cancer. Weeks before her passing she was asking her mom if she was going to die, her mom sweetly replied through soft tears that this home here on earth was just temporary and that she was going to go home to her real home with her loving Heavenly Father. I can't imagine that Moms heartbreak, but her answer touched me so much. This is all temporary. This life will end. I want to do everything that I can to make sure that my home in the end is with my Heavenly Father and my sweet family. And really that is all that matters.
I know this is such a spiritual post, but sometimes it is just so strong you need to get it out. I also have been so grateful for my friendships and family. A couple of days ago I got a call from my best friend who just called me out of the blue to tell me she loved me and was grateful for our friendship. How lucky am I to have that in my life! She is the most down to earth, beautiful, funny, and loyal friend I know. I love her. Everyone needs someone like that in their life.
And as for my sweet Owen, Olivia, and Chris they are my world. They give me headaches at times, but I am so grateful for them. I love that Chris still thinks I am the sexiest woman even though I am still in my pajamas and not feeling so pregnant hot when he gets home from work. I love how Owen tells me he loves me and writes and draws me notes throughout the week. I love how Olivia wants to wear what I wear and do my hair and play babies with me. She told me today if you are mean to me mom I won't be your friend, but I will always love you. And I am so excited to have another little one to hold, I already feel so attached to him. Life is good.
