Olivia's first day of preschool

Olivia woke up so excited this morning and couldn't wait to go to school just like Owen. She picked out her outfit and I have to say she did a pretty good job! First day was a success!

Owen's first day of 1st grade

Owen's sweet teacher Mrs. Shumway

My dear sweet Owen,
I can't believe this day has come so fast. We have both been so excited, but now that it is here it feels very bittersweet. You are such a big help around the house and now you will spend most of your time in a classroom. You were so cute to watch today, you came up all dressed and ready and told me that your bed and room were already clean so not to worry about it. It was so fun to see you for lunch and talk about the first part of your day, and even Daddy made a surprise visit. Last night Dad gave you a blessing and I couldn't keep my eyes closed you looked so big sitting and folding your arms while receiving your blessing. I know that you are going to be something big and special in this world! You have such an amazing heart and to be honest I look up to you! I love you more than anything and could not have been blessed with a more sweeter little boy. Olivia and Evan are so lucky to have the best big brother ever! Big kisses and hugs!
Love,
Your Mom

P.s. You made a little note that says Julie on it with hearts and you told me that whenever you feel sad at school that you would pull that out and it would make you feel better!

Cowabunga bay

This was kind of our last little goodbye to summer party. We went with the Burton side, but my sister Jade came too! We all had so much fun and Evan just loved relaxing in the shade.

Evan 4 months old and a date night at Cecret Lake

Evan's 4 month stats:
Length: 24 1/2 inches
Weight: 15 lbs. 3 oz.

To be perfectly honest I have had a hard week and this date night is exactly what I needed. Owen and Olivia were with Grandma and Grandpa Burton doing some school shopping and sleeping over while Evan hung out with me and Chris! I think I was warned that three was going to be hard but geez I thought I would do awesome at it...not so much. This has been a huge adjustment for me, and really I just have to take it one day at a time. Thank goodness for Owen he is such a big helper and I'm so grateful for him. As for Olivia...she is sweet but she could be a little sweeter! I love her to bits but she requires a lot from me. Olivia I know you are going to read this one day and you will probably have a little girl just like you, and then you will tell me how sorry you were and make up for it then just like I am doing to my mom now!
But really isn't my little Evan just so dang cute I really could eat those cheeks!

Trip to the temple with friends.

This was one of my favorite activities we did this summer. We took a tour of the beehive house and then a tour of the church office building where we got to take the elevator all the way to the top! We had so much fun with the Clements and the Collettes!

Thanks Hill for the picture!

Olivia's birthday day!

This was Olivia's perfect day where she could call all the shots! She choose cereal and a go gurt for breakfast and then couldn't wait to open her presents which were; Backpack, notepad and crayons, sunglasses, Cinderella doll, and a Jenny doll! We then met Grandma and Grandpa Conger for lunch at Chick Fil A at which she got to open her present from them which was a treasure box full of princess dresses. And then we were off to the mall to get her ears pierced, and to everyones surprise she did not even cry. We then spent the next part of our day trying to fit our new couches down in our basement but the 3rd time was not our charm, and this in it self is a whole another post. And we finished the night with a yummy red mango (with the help of my persuasion!) Happy 4th birthday Olivia!

Olivia's birthday party

I had Olivia's birthday party at my moms house and the kids had so much fun! We had a slip n slide and sprinklers underneath the tramp. Olivia was in heaven with all her friends and thanks to my mom, sister Jade, and Mother in law for all their help, there is no way I could have pulled that off by myself!

Lagoon

We had so much fun at lagoon with my Family, too bad these are the only pictures I got because my battery died right after I took these. Owen was a little daredevil and even went on the colossus with his Dad. And Olivia just loved playing with her cousins and going on all the little rides!

Fathers day

This is what me and the kids made for Chris on Fathers Day!

Ward Talent show

Owen surprised me so much in participating in this. He did an adorable break dance routine with his two buddies, Cole, and Cade. He would honestly practice every single day and he was quite good at it too! Thanks to Cole's Aunt who helped choreograph the dance and had practices with them. It seriously was so cute, and too bad these pictures aren't that great to show it.

Owen's end of the year dance-a-thon

Better late than never on this post. This is Owen's end of the year kindergarten dance-a-thon. He would come home and practice for this and it looks like it paid off because he did a great job!
