2015 Week 33

I have been so busy I don’t even have time to take cell phone pictures.

Here’s a few from last week.  Tails & Sonic waiting for 7:00 so they can have food….notice the timer on the auto feeder says 5:58.

I had a session with a cowboy on Wednesday night.  Might be the best one of the 2016 seniors yet. He had his horses and this kid is the best!

Saturday night it was Back to School pictures and my bff Susan and her sweetie came to help.  Shaylee and I! ❤

Sunday night I did a session with Brady and his fellow Senior fball teammates.  It was a bit chaotic with the ford dealership not having a pickup for me to use like they had promised, but it all worked out.

I’m making a 45×90 banner to hang at the fball field.

Today is Brady’s 18th. Where has the time gone? With these pictures I’m making 30×40 signs to put in the parents’ yards.  So far they are a big hit!

2015 Week 33

It was one of those weeks where I was busy busy and didn’t even take pictures until Friday.  There is a Flea Market shop in in town and they posted this piece on Fb. 15 min later I had it in my car.  It is 5′ tall and I haven’t the slightest idea where I’ll put it but I’m in love with it.  I got it for $75 which I felt is a steal.

Friday night TNT, Mildred, Scottie B and my dad all headed 2 1/2 hours east to Glen Elder, KS for out guided catfish fishing trip.

I will do more about this trip, but here are a few highlights. My dad must not have been happy about Scottie B’s catch. lol

Mildred’s almost 8 pound catfish.  She caught the biggest one out of our group.  She said HOLY SHIT when it busted out of the water.

I hope to get a post up tomorrow, but I have 5 sessions in 7 days and I’m running ragged. Plus I’ll have 20 little/big kids at my house on Saturday for back to school pictures.  It is always a crazy time.

2015 Garden Update

My pumpkins are going crazy. Some of the plants are waist high and they are producing so many pumpkins.

Specialty pumpkins are looking great and they have started growing up into the cedar trees.

I don’t know why this makes me laugh, but there are pumpkins in trees!.  I will be picking watermelons I’d guess in the next two weeks. Tomatoes are just about ready to be a regular picking and cucumbers I’m picking about a dozen a night.  My non garden friends are loving all the cucumbers I’m bringing to town for them.

2015 Week 31

*A year ago this week that I was bottle feeding this tiny wittle kitty that we didn’t know if it would live.  *Friday night before the storms moved in a client snapped this of me taking a pic of his daughter.  *The rains hit and I was at the inlaws house for pics and it got muddy fast.  I hurried home before it got too bad, but my poor car got dirty. First time I’ve driven it in the mud. *This little guy is now a year old. *He spend Saturday snuggling with me and *molly. *Saturday night I had another senior session with a kid I’ve known forever. Thanks to his mom for this shot. *Sunday one of TNT’s friends posted this shot from their wedding.  He was the best man.

The Engaged Couple is HOME!

I had planned to go to the town Mildred lives in to welcome the newly engaged couple home on Wed night (July 29th) but Brady had state baseball games and I had a client for that game.  I wanted to put a bunch of balloons in the house, but then thought I’d hate to come home from a 12 day vacation and have to clean up balloons so I decided not to do anything.  Little did I know that Mildred and ‘s neighbors planned to decorate their porch.

Mildred told the neighbor that she just knew it was Carrie who did this! lol Nope not this time.

I cried when I saw this! ❤

Brain Fart

I have this story about my boss that is epic! My boss is one of those people that is always right even when you prove her wrong. Life here at work has gotten better, but there are still times I want to stay in my bed and hide from her.  Last Tuesday we had a storm move in. I’d been shredding papers by the window and I watched it build and finally my boss said lets go put our cars in the warehouse on the hill (about 100 yards away from the plant). We drove our vehicles up to the door and it was taking my boss forever to open the big overhead door. So I got out to see what was going on.  I helped her unlock the side door and then she reached in and opened the overhead. Since my car was behind her and to the drivers side I walked around the front of her car.  She was still taking forever and I was thinking “she needs to hurry her ass up. This storm is moving in fast and we still have to walk back to the plant.”  My boss comes walking around the front of her car and she is laughing so hard and shaking her head.  We pulled both cars into the whse and when I got out she asked if I saw what she did? I told her no and she said good I’m not going to tell ANYONE EVER!  Of course I can’t leave that alone and she finally told me.

As my boss was getting the key out of the door  she saw me walk around the the front of her SUV. For some reason she thought we were in the car together so she got into the passenger side of HER car.  I was sitting in my car back behind hers. OMG! I just about died and I had to hide my laughter on our walk back to the plant. I so wanted to post it on FB for everyone to see, but I was super nice. Plus she gave me a nice raise last week at my annual review!

2015 Week 31

*I listen to music the whole time I mow, but I have a very hard time keeping the ear buds in my ears. They are uncomfortable. I also wear ear muffs so I found these ear muffs with with speakers in them!!  So much better!! *While I was mowing Monday night I found one of our trees had fallen over. Not sure if a deer or wind blew it over. *I made Mildred a wedding bible.  When I got married I had a wedding bible that I carried with me everywhere. It has all my ideas in it (before pinterest). *A big boss from Fargo was down so my boss and I took him to the county fair for lunch. *Wednesday night I hit the kids pedal tractor pull and Miss Shaylee won 3rd.  *Thursday night I went to the 4H livestock auction. *Firday I found three stools like this at the flea market. I love them and will use them for sessions. *Friday afternoon I hit Brady’s baseball game.  They went 1-2 at State. *Saturday night I had a session with Lindsey. This girl is beautiful!  And she doesn’t have the slightest idea that she is.  I have the best assistant. Mildred got home from her FL trip on Wednesday and was beat. But she came out and did Lindsey’s hair & makeup.  After makeup I had supper for all of us and Mildred said I think I might stay. I KNEW once she met Lindsey and made her beautiful Mildred would be too invested and would have to stay! ❤

Tails & Sonic-0 Mouse-1

This morning my alarm went off at 6:45. Of course I hit snooze and wanted to squeeze 15 more minutes in, but then I started hearing a squeaking noise. I thought what the heck is that, but I was not going to waste the last few minutes I had in bed to go see.  Then I heard Sonic running and more squeaking.I thought I should really go check since that squeaking does NOT sound like one of the toys they have.  I hear more squeaking then I hear both cats run into the bedroom. So I finally pull myself out of bed and both cats are squatted down looking under the dresser. Crap..I know what that squeaking was. A freaking mouse.  Let me just say that we live in a house that is over 100 years old so we really should have more mice than we do, but we get about one every other year or so. I’d rather have a mouse in the house than spiders.  Okay my story. Both cats have their butts in the air and heads down under the dresser. I grab the flashlight and mimic their pose. Sure enough there is a little field mouse looking back at me.

I need to interrupt this story to tell you that Molly loves flashlights.  Ever since she was a puppy TNT turns on the flashlight and Molly chases the light. Super funny to watch, unless there is a mouse in your house and you are trying to catch it.  Molly wanted to catch the light and had no desire to chase the mouse.  So I was trying to push her out of the way when I pulled out the dresser.  I thought for sure Sonic would get back there and grab the mouse. Nope Sonic was on high alert but missed the mouse.  The mouse takes off out of the bedroom and into the spare bedroom. I was able to corner it behind the door, but it ran and I lost it.

By this time TNT is out of the shower and I tell him about the mouse. He then pulls every drawer out of his dresser and puts Sonic in the empty dresser to try to find it.  sigh……
