Kassidy had her Neonatal follow-up appointment this month. It was a long, long appointment. She saw multiple specialists from Primary Childrens. There come to Ogden once a week. It is just to follow these preemies and track their progress. I was a little nervous, especially because I am a little obsessed with her head and we had to see a neurologist.
We saw the pediatrician first, who said she is perfect. Little bit of reflux, but nothing bad enough to treat. She had been SUPER constipated, so bad she was vomiting. We had to do suppositories a couple times, YIKES! They sure do what they are suppose to! She really had no concerns.
We then saw the neurologist. I had brought in her previous head circum. measurements so he could get a better understanding. He did some neurological tests, like tracking and reflexes and stuff like that. He was VERY impressed. She has 0 developmental delays, as of now and her head is totally average in size even more towards the smaller end. For peace of mind and just so he could have a base reading now if she has problems in the future he ordered a head ultrasound before her soft spot closes. Her appointment is on Monday. He sais he would be surprised if she still had hydrocephalus. Oh the nerves in my stomach...
Next she was weighed and measured, all normal, She is in about the 60% for weight and 40% for height. Yeah no big shocker there, I have short chubby babies!! They did take her respiration rate and told me that she paused between breaths. They said "dont be alarmed" Really? Really? They said it was probably an episode and that they are not concerned. Well then why did you even tell me? So of course I worried about until I spoke to my Dr. and she's fine!
We then saw the nutritionist. She changed her formula to a gentle ease one. It has been SOOO much better. No more contipation issues. She said she could be on regular calories because she has gained weight fine. The NEOSURE formula for preemies just was too high in cal and had too much iron for this little girl.
She said to go ahead a start whatever foods I wanted, but space them a few days apart. She also now take an oz of juice a day.
Last was Physical therapy. He was a fun guy. Nothing negative to report. She has good neck control (could be better, but we tend to hold her ALOT) We need to be better at tummy time. Other than that she is right on track.
I just hope and pray things continue to go as well as they have for this little miracle. It has been so AMAZING watching her grow and develop. It is hard to even believe how little she started out. Words cant even describe it!
So Kassidy is 8 months old and adjusted she is 4 months. She laughs out loud (especially at daddy) she coos and us and really really loves attention! Even if it means having her silly brother smother her, she still loves it!
She loves her hands and her little rattles and keys. She sleeps through the night and really lets us know when it is her bed time and when she is hungry. She is such an easy good natured little girl. We absolutely love every inch of her!!

Date Night
Sam took me on a date on Monday! It was so fun and something we looked forward too for awhile. We ate dinner at Costa Vida (the dilla place) and then went and saw Tangled (my new favorite disney movie). We ate popcorn and laffy taffy and shared a coke. We held hands and he sat on my lap for a bit during the movie so I could snuggle him. I even got a kiss good night (in the garage of course so no one would see) Best part of the night is hearing him say "I love you Mom"
Oh how I treasure these moments....

Proof our house does get clean!
Clint thinks I am weird that I take these pictures, but people (girls) like to look at this kind of stuff...
Every nativity scene needs a snowman. Thanks Sam
Our card door. I need a better idea to display Christmas cards....
For a brief moment before the choas began, I had a clean house.
This is our current project. My craft room. Lots still to do, but its coming along
Kassidy's tree in her room
Sam and Carlos' tree in their room
And lastly....Mistletoe
Clints favorite part....
Candy Cane
Kassidy had her first Candy cane the other night! and oh how she loved it!!
Hmmm that was good, lets try that again!
This time I'll do it!
She was one sticky mess, but a happy sticky mess that gave really yummy kisses!
Kameron's Christmas
This is the artwork I had made for Clint and our parents for Christmas. This wonderful artist Monica Achter who is local created this for me. I sent her a picture of Kameron and then she drew how Kameron spent his Christmas. It looks so much like him, his little lips are the exact same and I just love his little foot popping up! This was a really hard secret to keep, but I think everyone was moved by this masterpiece!
Christmas eve night we stopped at Kamerons spot to place flowers in his vase, it was pretty dark but there was a small glow really close to where his spot is. As we got closer someone had put a solar light right next to his vase. The glow looked just like a star shining on his headstone. It was breath taking.....
That someone was my dad and mom...
I love that they visit his spot often and that my dad has such a connection to him.
Kameron lives forever in all our hearts.

Christmas
This is sort of over load of pictures, but I loved all of them...
We had a wonderful Christmas, we woke the kids up at about 7:30 and were all done and playing with our stuff by 8:00. Nice huh?
My stockingClint's stocking
Look, Santa ate the cookies and drank all the milk. The reindeer even munched on the carrots!
Sam's stocking and his mobigo.
Santa left a few Layton Family Night gifts!
Kassidy's loot...Every girl needs a kitchen!
Carlos' train and stocking
Must have some pretty good kids in this house!
What a wonderful morning!!
Kassidy was first to come down
And last Carlos slid down the stairs
Kass was so excited, taking it all in!
The kitchen was the toy of the morning, who knew?
Just watchin those crazy boys!
The mobigo, is really cool. It is a touch screen learning system that flips up and has a key board. So fun, we only get to play with it when Sam is asleep...
Yay! I got a flip waffle maker from Sam. I love it!! Kassidy got me an attachment for my kitchen aide. Clint told me to take a hint and get in the kitchen....Clint got me my own wire cutters!
Sam got Clint a wrench thing and Kassidy got him some mossy oak pants and shirt.
What a haul. We were very spoiled this year...After we were done opening gifts, Clints parents came over and then my parents came and brought their gifts...
Kassidy just enjoyed sitting in her walker. She really is such a good girl!
Doesnt she just look big in it? Sam would never sit it, but she loves it!
Carlos in his new clothes ready to go eat at nana Pugmire's.
Nana and her sweet little princess...Kassidy has her dimples, love it!
Daddys little cupcake! Couldnt you just eat her up she is so sweet??
And one of my big boy! He is such a big helper and a big stinker all rolled into one special little boy!
Hope everyone had an amazing Christmas!
