The Department of Civil & Environmental Engineering hosted our Spring Industry Workshop, Building Resilient Infrastructure: Civil & Environmental Engineering in a Changing World, on Thursday, March 13, 2025.

It was an exciting day of keynote speakers and panel discussions that will dove into how civil and environmental engineering firms are addressing resilience and sustainability, while exploring new technologies that are emerging to help meet these challenges. Conversations explored critical questions facing our indusrty, such as:

  • How can resilience be designed, funded, and incorporated into infrastructure investments?
  • How do we determine and account for the possible cost of resilience?
  • How to initiate change and operationalize resilience engineering?
