🎥 Lecture | Posterior Endoscopic Cervical Central Decompression with Dr. Saqib Hasan Right after Prof. Mazda Farshad's live PECCD in the OR, Dr. Saqib Hasan stepped up to deliver the theoretical framework behind the procedure. Indications, surgical principles, and the Level 3 complexity of Posterior Endoscopic Cervical Central Decompression, grounded in what participants had just seen performed live minutes earlier. Theory meeting practice at its best. The full lecture is now on Youtube and on our website: https://lnkd.in/emwtKZsd

Endoscopic access to the spine has radically changed minimal invasive spinal surgery. Performing spinal endoscopy without previous structured training can be harmful to patients and should be avoided. The EndoSpine Academy aims to provide easy access to knowhow in spinal endoscopy. International key opinion leaders joined forces and created an independent educational platform for endoscopic spine surgery, providing advanced education, fostering collaboration and knowledge exchange without direct industry dependence.

🔴 Now on Youtube: IELD / IE-LRD Lecture from the EndoSpine Academy Basic Course 2026 Continuing our series from this year's Basic Course in Zurich, we move from the transforaminal to interlaminar approaches. PD Dr. Jean-Yves Fournier delivered a fantastic lecture on Interlaminar Endoscopic Lumbar Discectomy (IELD) as well as the Interlaminar Endoscopic Lateral Recess Decompression (IE-LRD). True to his roots, he also drew on the Valaisanne Alps to bring some well-placed humour into the room and make his key messages stick. Beyond technique, Fournier reflected on how education in spinal endoscopy has evolved over the years and offered practical guidance for young surgeons taking their first steps in the field. 🙌 EndoSpine Academy at the Qingdao Spinal Endoscopy Innovation Symposium Advancing endoscopic spine surgery requires fruitful collaborations on an international level. This is why last week, the EndoSpine Academy co-organized the 2nd Spinal Endoscopy Innovation Symposium taking place at the Affiliated Hospital of Qingdao University in China. The week-long symposium featured a great number of fantastic talks, discussions on the latest innovations in endoscopic spine surgery, a fruitful expert consensus meeting, professional hands-on courses and overall 9 live surgeries. Moreover, Co-Director Christoph Laux held a talk on modern concepts of surgical training. He specifically outlined the importance of structured education programs such as the CAS in Spinal Endoscopy. We express our deepest gratitude to unintech GmbH and local host Prof. Xuexiao Ma, as well as Peking University Third hospital and Guangdong Provincial hospital of Chinese Medicine for the great organization.

Day 5 | EndoSurg Elite Camp: Confidence in Action Following three days of intensive theoretical learning, live surgery observation, and case discussions, as well as Wednesday’s cadaver workshops, Day 5 showcases a clear transformation with growing confidence among all participants. During this Elite Camp, one group focused on lumbar fusion and posterior cervical procedures, while the other groups concentrated on transforaminal and interlaminar approaches. Each participant worked toward their individual goals — and achieved them. It was especially rewarding to see the co-organizer EndoSpine Academy actively involved in both the live surgeries and the hands-on training, further highlighting the importance of structured, high-quality education in advancing surgical excellence. At unintech, we believe that systematic education is the key to mastering endoscopic spine surgery. This week is not the end — it is the beginning of real clinical impact. #spinesurgery #workshop #tubeintube #education #endospineacademy #unintech

The EndoSpine Academy was proud to be part of the 26th ISASS Annual Meeting with a dedicated hybrid breakout session, bringing together leading specialists for a focused exchange on where spinal endoscopy stands today and where it is headed. Topics included the expanding scope of endoscopic spine surgery across lumbar, thoracic, and cervical segments, a comparative look at uniportal and biportal techniques, and a timely discussion on the question: what exactly is the scope of spinal endoscopy right now? A special thank you to Founding Member James Yue for his dedicated organization of the session, to elliquence for their valued support, and to ISASS: The International Society for Advancement of Spine Surgery for the fantastic oportunity to be part of this year's meeting. 🙌 Founding Members: James Yue, Mazda Farshad, Javier Quillo-Olvera M.D., Facundo Van Isseldyk, Sohrab Gollogly, Dr. Vincent Hagel Faculty: Choll W Kim, MD PhD, Rattalerk Arunakul, Florian Wanivenhaus

Congratulations to EndoSpine Academy Founders Facundo Van Isseldyk and Dr. Vincent Hagel for their newest publication in Brain and Spine!
I am beyond thrilled: Brain and Spine just published - in a dedicated special issue - the first-ever full-endoscopic intradural spine tumor removal case series. It has been a real challenge to write it, but with partners like Dr. Vincent Hagel , it was also truly enjoyable. My deepest thanks and recognition to the amazing editorial team of Brain and Spine, and to the great duo of Christoph Siepe, Prof. Dr.med. and Jin-Sung (LUKE) Kim , who served as Editors for this Special Issue.
