The CHRONOMASTER El Primero A384 Revival faithfully reproduces the first ZENITH steel watch to house the El Primero high-frequency automatic chronograph, introduced in 1969. Its tonneau-shaped case and panda dial follow the original production plans, paired with a steel ladder bracelet and powered by the El Primero 400 movement. Its presence today is tied to a moment of preservation in the 1970s. As quartz threatened mechanical watchmaking, Charles Vermot safeguarded the essential tools and technical drawings in an attic at the ZENITH manufacture in Le Locle. That decision ensured the calibre could be revived decades later, allowing the A384 Revival to exist as a precise continuation of the original, and securing the ongoing legacy of the El Primero itself. #ZenithWatches #ZenithChronomaster #ElPrimero
