Watches and Wonders has become the global watch fair — the place where the industry meets, launches, and sets the tone for the year. In 2026, WatchAdvisor did not produce isolated quick clips. Instead, we made one proper film: about 1 hour and 26 minutes, structured into 39 timestamps, guiding you through the show with Alexander Linz, Maryna Steger, EMBA and Roger Rüegger. Think of it as your relaxed front-row pass — with context. We walk the halls, highlight key novelties, meet people, capture atmosphere, and give you the kind of “whole picture” you only get when the camera is allowed to breathe. Best enjoyed the right way: sit back, pour a good glass of wine (or open that bottle of Champagne you’ve been “saving”), and let Geneva come to your screen — in 4K. Watches and Wonders 2026 First Observations from Geneva After several days at Watches & Wonders, one thing stands out: 2026 feels more restrained. Compared to last year, brands are playing it safer, not as a weakness, but as a reflection of the current market. The focus has clearly shifted toward commercially strong, well-balanced products that people actually want to wear and buy. Making watches that sell remains one of the most complex aspects of the industry. We are seeing fewer bold experiments and more refined executions. Instead of standout “hero pieces,” the fair is defined by a series of solid, well-thought-through releases. From a design perspective, two trends are particularly visible: skeletonized watches and stone dials. The latter, once driven by brands like H. Moser & Cie., is now widely adopted across the industry, showing how quickly ideas evolve into broader design directions. A strong example of this year’s approach is the new Bvlgari Octo Finissimo in 37 mm. What seems like a simple size adjustment required three years of development, highlighting how complex it is to achieve the right proportions and wearability. The strong positive feedback confirms a clear demand for more versatile sizing. Anniversary pieces have also been a highlight, particularly from ROLEX and ZENITH Watches. Rolex’s 100 years of the Oyster once again demonstrate the brand’s strength in consistency, in design, quality, and pricing, while continuing to set the tone for the industry. Watches & Wonders 2026 may not be the most spectacular year, but it is a very telling one: less about bold statements, more about precision, refinement, and long-term relevance. 🔗: https://lnkd.in/dTZS57yU #WatchAdvisor #WatchesAndWonders #horlogerie #luxurywatches #Bulgari #Rolex #Zenith
