Roberta Carboni gefällt dasRoberta Carboni gefällt dasAfter almost ten years of primarily working from my home in Ohio, and regularly traveling the world to graphically facilitate highly-strategic workshops with C-suite executives and leaders of Fortune 500 companies, Amazon told me this week that my current options are to either uproot my family and move to one of its hubs (Chicago being the closest) or “volunteer” my departure from the company and receive no severance. I love my team, its leaders, and my peers, but am of course saddened Amazon/AWS’ senior leadership has made this decision. But they are smart people with goals and targets to hit, and Amazon/AWS is a big company and can do what it wants. Ultimately, I am thankful this place and the people on the Executive Visioning team took a chance on me, and have benefited greatly from my time at one of the world’s largest and most well-known companies. So, today, my LinkedIn profile picture switches over to “Open to Work”. As a man of faith, I am not worried, for I know who holds tomorrow. My hope has never been in a company, job, or paycheck. And, at the same time, I do not pretend to have seen this coming, or have a clear plan for exactly what is next. Today, I can rest with the knowledge that I have learned A TON, have tried to lead well and deliver with excellence, and have forged strong relationships with internal stakeholders and external customers over the years. Maybe I now reach out to some of the latter who have made soft offers in that time. Maybe I go out on my own as a contractor/freelancer. Secret time? A piece of me is actually excited about what might be next, and feels...free. Maybe this was the plan all along, and what’s around the bend could not have/would not have happened if not for the news I received this week. I’m not sure, but I’ll definitely keep you posted. Thanks for reading, friends. And if you need a highly-creative, artist-at-heart, consultant-slash-facilitator, leader, fascinated-by-culture-and-human-dynamics, will-always-show-up-earliest-and-stay-latest guy, who wants to work from home but is definitely willing to travel regularly...hit me up! the LEGO Group and Pixar Animation Studios, I’m looking at you! 🤣

Stop waiting for opportunities. Make headhunters find you. Let me tell you how. In Switzerland, many senior roles in Pharma, Biotech, and MedTech are filled through headhunting even when they are advertised. To be contacted, recruiters must be able to find you quickly and see that your profile fits the brief. See the slides below to learn how you can make that happen and save the post for future reference.👇 💡 Practical Takeaway: Recruiters in Switzerland won’t chase profiles that are unclear, generic, or incomplete. By optimising your profile, demonstrating expertise, and keeping strategic visibility, you turn the tables: they come to you. (Part 2 of my 3-part series on how to be contacted by recruiters. Follow and hit 🔔 not to miss part 3).

𝗥𝗲𝗶𝗺𝗮𝗴𝗶𝗻𝗶𝗻𝗴 𝗧𝗮𝗹𝗲𝗻𝘁 𝗔𝗰𝗾𝘂𝗶𝘀𝗶𝘁𝗶𝗼𝗻 𝗶𝗻 𝗣𝗵𝗮𝗿𝗺𝗮 𝗯𝘆 𝟮𝟬𝟮𝟲 For many years I hear the same message in our field: fill roles fast, reduce cost, close the req, move on. 𝗜𝗻 𝟮𝟬𝟮𝟲 𝗜 𝘄𝗮𝗻𝘁 𝗮 𝗱𝗶𝗳𝗳𝗲𝗿𝗲𝗻𝘁 𝘀𝘁𝗼𝗿𝘆. I work with pharma and biotech networks across Switzerland and Europe. I see smart talents, strong science, high pressure on time and budget. The truth is: speed alone does not help patients. 𝗛𝗲𝗿𝗲 𝗶𝘀 𝗵𝗼𝘄 𝗜 𝗿𝗲𝗶𝗺𝗮𝗴𝗶𝗻𝗲 𝗧𝗮𝗹𝗲𝗻𝘁 𝗔𝗰𝗾𝘂𝗶𝘀𝗶𝘁𝗶𝗼𝗻 𝗯𝘆 𝟮𝟬𝟮𝟲 👇 ✅ We hire for long term impact Not only to add headcount. We ask: does this person help the team grow, learn, stay strong for years? ✅ We build real pipelines Not only react to each urgent role. We stay close to key functions, map the market, keep in touch with people over time. ✅ We use AI as a tool, not a driver 🤖 We use AI for structure, shortlists, and data. We keep humans in charge of judgment, respect, and candidate care. ✅ We act as partners, not order takers We sit with hiring managers, share market insight, design clear and fair processes together. 𝗙𝗮𝘀𝘁 𝗳𝗼𝗿𝘄𝗮𝗿𝗱 𝘁𝗼 𝟮𝟬𝟮𝟲: the teams who win do one simple thing very well. They connect hiring decisions with patient care. Every new colleague in a lab, in a plant, in a clinical team helps move a therapy closer to a person who waits. For me this reset is not about more tasks. I want calm, clear, human hiring that supports science and stable teams over time. 𝗥𝗲𝗮𝗱𝘆 𝘁𝗼 𝗺𝗮𝗸𝗲 𝘆𝗼𝘂𝗿 𝗺𝗮𝗿𝗸 𝗶𝗻 𝗧𝗮𝗹𝗲𝗻𝘁 𝗔𝗰𝗾𝘂𝗶𝘀𝗶𝘁𝗶𝗼𝗻 𝗶𝗻 𝟮𝟬𝟮𝟲?

In a field where precision meets purpose, few navigate the complexities of early-phase drug development with the clarity and conviction of Dr Claudia Hesselmann. As Scientific Adviser to the BICS Bucharest Clinical Trials Symposium 2025, her influence is quietly profound — shaping discourse, elevating standards, and ensuring that scientific rigour remains inseparable from human impact. Her leadership at ARENSIA Exploratory Medicine continues to redefine what is possible in translational research. It’s not simply innovation; it’s innovation with intent. https://lnkd.in/etsfVfE
