Black Angel Wings

Here's my day 7 Challenge entry for Conjurer of Dreams Facebook page 1st Anniversary celebrations: Sept 21st Ghost of a Time - make a card or tag (Daily Prize Set of 4 Halloween images)

I have used my new Tag Die set to create this tag. I printed off the Black Angel Wings imagine and then printed on to vellum with one of the free with purchase files I got early this month. I love the effect the printed vellum gives over the normal print.
Definitely spooky!

Don't forget, the Grand Prize will be drawn Sept 22 by Kim Rayko.
Every challenge you enter gets you one entry for the Grand Prize draw of one free set a month for a year. The more challenges you enter the more chances you have to win.

Until next time, keep chasing white unicorns!

Just Because

Sharing my Journal layout and tag for Scrapbookingncraft with you.

I used my Altered Diary again as my preferred journal for my project.
My favourite part is the woman that I blended in perfectly to the page - traced the mask onto cardstock then adhered napkin and cut out then carefully lined up to page and adhered. I then gave her a shadow using Black Aquarellable Pencil.

I hope you it and are inspire to create with some of Scrapbookingncraft products Don't forget to share with us when you do. Feel free to tag me.

Until next time, keep chasing white unicorns!

Whimsical Birdcages Birthday Tag

Have you seen the wonderful designs over at Christine's Etsy Shop AandJjDesigns yet?
(If you prefer Shopify, she has opened up there as well AandJjDesigns.)
I am excited to be a part of her Creative Team and to inspire you along the way. I will share links to the Etsy Shop to keep it simpler for me.

My first project I have made a Birthday tag for my daughter. Her card I will share in a few days time when she has received it.

I have used the Whimsical Birdcages Clip Art file.
After choosing my cage, I printed it twice the same size. The first print I used one of my Tag Dies and cut out. The second print I fussy cut the berries and then smaller owl. I adhered with foam tape to sit up from the original image tag. I then applied Glossy Accents onto them to make them pop. Once dry, I added some sari ribbon and tied in a bow.

As an added bonus - the Etsy Shop is currently having a 50% off Sale, so click on the link and grab your cages!

Until next time, keep chasing white unicorns!

Exhale, Inhale Tag / Bookmark

Well hello again!
I previously showed you my Toy Soldier's Cutlery Holders and Journal page Christmas Dinner for Scrapbookingncraft
Today I am sharing with you a tag I made that could be used as a bookmark as well.

For my tag, I used a chipboard piece from a mixed pack I got - looks to me to be a Lotus shape and coloured it with gold acrylic paint.
I used 2 shades of blue acrylic paint to start my background on my tag. I then used a 3rd blue with the Rock Pools stencil and gold acrylic paint with the Small Squares Distressed stencil.
I then used the Square Set of foam stamps to add some more interest.
I adhered the lotus and then doodled the words exhale, inhale going in and out from my lotus.
I added some gold acrylic paint to the edges of my tag.
Lastly I added some sari ribbon and my tag is complete to gift or use as a bookmark.
I am loving those blues!

Until next time, keep chasing white unicorns!

Just Journal January 2023 - Day 2

Day 2 prompt for Just Journal: Tag.

I must admit that I only managed to get 10 days in with my Dephemerember 2022  journal, so I am using that same journal for this month, and hopefully see me to the end this time!

I used a piece of an old book page from my stash and adhered to my page.
I then grabbed some tags and a spine from my preprinted stash, this time the file is by Luise Heinzl and is called Wild Birds Journal Cover. (quick look in her Etsy shop and it isn't currently listed)
I used some nice rich yellow velvet ribbon I picked up from the local op shop and stappled it onto my tags.
I do love how this page turned out.

Until next time, keep chasing white unicorns!

Creative Warriors Inspiration # 11

Time for my next project to inspire you, which is using one of the pirate girls from the New Release Pack for Decembers Challenge Yo Ho Ho by Michelle Grant. My sentiment is from Tanya Froud's Ozzie Ozzie pack.

If you have been following me, you would have already seen  me making a lot of Christmas Tags.....so I thought why not make another one, right!

The mixed media tag on the left I have used a mixture of Distress inks and Distress paints. I then used a new die my crafty buddy gave me in my Christmas bundle. Great die cut, I will be using this a bit more for sure.
I coloured my festive pirate girl with pencils and around my sentiment with Inktense pencils.
I stamped my branch on the tag and then used Art by Marlene Neon paints Wow and Glow for the two baubles. Added some ribbon on top as the final touch.

My journal card I used part of one of the background sheets, distressed the edges and then added a piece of vellum on top and stitched around the edge.
My Joy bauble is a die cut I had left over from the 12 Days of Christmas Tags and it really fits this very well.

Don't forget to share with us any of your projects over on the Michelle's Creative Warriors Facebook group, we'd love to see them.

I hope you all have a safe and enjoyable Christmas no matter where you are or what you are up to.
I look forward to sharing some more inspirational projects with you next year.

Until next time, keep chasing white unicorns!

Oh no, it the very last tag of 12 Days of Christmas Tags!

I have say that I have learnt so much more that I thought I would.
I have enjoyed it much more than I thought I would.
If you get the chance to do one of these, jump right in, you will not regret it.
I certainly will be watching next year to see if we get to play again.

I hope you have enjoyed following along with me and here's the 12 Tags on their ring.

12 Days of Christmas Tags

Here is Day 11 of 12 Days of Christmas Tags by Scrapping Clearly.

Oh wow - I learnt another amazing technique with this tag!
How much fun is this tag, seriously, so much going on and to look at!
Sad that only one more tag to go.
See you tomorrow with my last of the 12 tags.

Until next time, keep chasing white unicorns!

12 Days of Christmas Tags

Here is Day 10 of 12 Days of Christmas Tags by Scrapping Clearly.

Not going to lie, this one was a challenge!
I used the frame for an early tag that I didn't have the die cut for, so naturally, I probably used the bit I needed for this one. But, I made do with what I had left of it and think I did an okay job!

See you tomorrow with Day 11 - only 2 more tags left! Can you believe it, almost done.

Until next time, keep chasing white unicorns!

12 Days of Christmas Tags

Here is Day 9 of 12 Days of Christmas Tags by Scrapping Clearly.

Out with the embossing powders again and wow, what a difference that makes.
You always forget that you can emboss your die cuts to change them - well I do anyway.
A bit more stitching and glossy accents again as well.

See you tomorrow with Day 10 and another fun tag, I am really enjoying this process!

Until next time, keep chasing white unicorns!

12 Days of Christmas Tags

Here is Day 8 of 12 Days of Christmas Tags by Scrapping Clearly.

Day 8 is so sweet with the two birds!
What you can't tell from the photo is how shimmery those die cut branches are. I sprayed them with Perfect Pearls.

See you tomorrow with Day 9 and another fun tag!

Until next time, keep chasing white unicorns!

12 Days of Christmas Tags

Here is Day 7 of 12 Days of Christmas Tags by Scrapping Clearly.

LOL, it wasn't until I went to glue this stack on my tag that I realised I stuck my rice paper trees on sideways....which still works as Believe is sideways - guess my brain was thinking that way!
In my defense starting my new job has my headspace a bit scrambled at the moment.
I used my Wink of Stella on the Believe die cut instead of embossing powder to get a glittery shine, that is way to small and fiddly for my fat fingers!

Ok, I look forward to Day 8's tag!

Until next time, keep chasing white unicorns!

Arsinic & Lace

This month I created a card and a tag for my project to inspire you, using the Arsinic & Lace Digital Craft Kit by Gecko Galz.

Being that it's October, what better projects to make then Halloween ones!

I created my clusters in my word document and printed off.
After fussy cutting, I put them aside and created my backgrounds.
My card I used a Visble Images stencil and distress inks and then popped my cluster on with foam dots to give some dimension.
I used a preprinted tag and added a die cut with some bakers twine and ink splats. Again adhering my cluster with foam dots. Lastly adding some tulle in the top hole.
I must admit I did have a bit of fun with them and stepped out of my comfort zone a tad with them.

I hope you like them and are inspired to join in on one of our many challenges this month.

Until next time, keep chasing white unicorns!

Never More Designs Gothic Challenge

Have you checked out this month's Challenge Image over at Never More Designs Gothic Image Challenge?

I ran out of time to do last month's and just getting this month's in with a few days to spare....so there is still time for you too!

So totally off the page this month.....I have been doing a Virtual Retreat this weekend, among other projects, so decided to use what was sitting on my desk.....

I made a tag from a funtime Distress Crayons practice page from a class I did this morning.
I thought this would look great on the brown paper bag that was to my left.
Added a flair button that was in one of the kits I have gotten over the years and was in a jar on my desk as well.
It is hard to tell but I printed the image twice and fussy cut the two ravens out and popped them up on foam dots.

Ok, so it has actually turned out great and I will be able to use it to hold some ephemera in and give away in a swap down the track......win win.

Hope to see what you do with the image.

I am also entering the following Challenges:
