Another quick weekend trip

We went to Utah this weekend with our friends Brian and Chailyn. We had so much fun swimming and letting the girls play together.

They are only 10 weeks apart. They play so good together.

Playing Rock Band

Camdyn trying to give Ava a hug.

Daniel took Camdyn down the slide at the swimming pool.

what the???

I'm pretty sure this means "mom I'm done with my dinner!"

15 Month Appointment

We went to the doctor today for a check up and shots. Camdyn was a disaster! I don't know if it is possible but I think she remembered the office from last time. She was trying to pull me out the door from the minute we walked in. And on top of all that the nurse that helped us was brand new...that's never good.
She weighs 21 lbs and is 32 inches tall. That puts her in the 25% for weight and the 70% for height. She meets or exceeds all of the benchmarks for talking, walking and taking commands. She's such a good girl! :)

Getting weighed on the "big girl' scale.

Waiting for the Doctor

wiped out in the car. She was pretty mad at the nurse, I think she will take a good, long nap!

There's a new rule in our house, check the trash before you throw it out! This is what I found in the garbage can this morning. My flip flops and her new ball. Who knows what I have already thrown away.

YIPEE!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Before

After

Isn't it amazing what a little grass can do! I am thrilled with the way it turned out. We have been working on the backyard since Camdyn's birthday(March). We have been back there almost every weekend and now it is finally done. I don't think anyone is as happy as Daniel he worked really hard on it.
I love being able to send Camdyn out there to play, she loves to run around...and she doesn't get dirty! YAY!

Here is Camdyn drinking out of the sprinkler!

Busted!

noteworthy

I just saved a Cool Whip bowl to reuse. This is a first for me, but I think it is genetic. This either means I am getting older or my true redneck nature is coming out.

Hurricane Harbor

The boys planned a spontaneous, surprise trip to Hurricane Harbor in California. We rented a mini-van and left friday morning. We spent all day at the water park and then drove home that night...it was a long, fun day.

Favorite memories of the trip:
  • Timmy cruising the mini-van (I can see it in his future)
  • we saw two accidents in 30 min. They happened right in front of us!
  • Camdyn in the "lazy river", she loved it.
  • Kevin and Daniel going down the scariest slide ever!
  • Daniel and I singing and dancing the entire way home, because we thought everyone was asleep...they weren't!

This is the slide Kevin and Daniel went down!

soooo much dirt!

Our topsoil for our backyard was delivered today.Who knew dirt could be so exciting? We have sooo much of it! Next step is sod. I am so excited!

Timmy and Brian came to help. They are lifesavers, we couldn't have done it without their help. Timmy has spent a few weekends slaving away with Daniel. Thanks Tim for all of your help!

Weekend Update

Here are some of our pictures from our busy weekend.

Friday: Drove to Duck Creek, UT. We took these pictures at Cascade Falls. Camdyn didn't wake up the entire walk.

Saturday: We went swimming with Kevin & Amanda.(Kevin did Camdyn's hair crazy for her!)

Sunday: Father's Day!

Giving dad his gift ...Dad wearing his new Red Sox Shirt.

Happy Father's Day!

A Dad is a person who is loving and kind,
And often he knows what you have on your mind.
He's someone who listens, suggests, and defends,
A dad can be one of your very best friends!
He's proud of your triumphs, but when things go wrong,
A dad can be patient and helpful and strong
In all that you do,a dad's love plays a part.
There's always a place for him deep in your heart.
And each year that passes, you're even more glad,
More grateful and proud just to call him your dad!

I have the best dad in the entire world. He is so kind and patient and is always positive. Happy Father's Day! I love you!
Camdyn is such a lucky girl to have such a fun daddy, and two of the best grandpa's ever!

mean momma

I know this makes me look like a mean mom, but I had to put these pictures on here. Camdyn has become the queen of throwing herself on the floor when she is mad! I usually give her a second to let it all out and then she's fine. Does any one have any pointers on tantrums?

This one is sad/funny. She hauls this popper all over the place. Today she tried to get it up the stairs! Oh it's so frustrating to be only one year old!

Lately I have been storing pictures and forgetting to put them on here. So here are a few from the week.

Playing in the water at the park. She runs around with all the big kids and gets soaked! I like the picture of her hunched over, she's waiting for the water to come shooting up. :)
I didn't do a very good job of taking pictures this weekend when we saw Nate and Jen. These are the only two I got.
Nate with his GIGANTIC plate of crab legs!

And yes Camdyn is still sleeping while I am blogging. I could be doing so many productive things right now, but instead, I blog!

Random Things

Love this picture, I told her to smile and she did, just like that. She is changing into a completely different baby. She can say at least 10 words and sign 8. She just learned how to say "Lowee", but it comes out "LowLow". But it sounds so sweet.

I had to take a picture of this. One of Daniel's friend from work came over and cooked us Carne Asada(sp). He is from Mexico and he can cook like you cannot believe. I loved every bite, and he taught me how to make it!

And lastly, this is our sad backyard! We have spent so many weekends working back there and you can't even tell. But the sprinklers are done and we planted four apple trees, roses and jasmine. I will post pictures later of the new plants later, to show proof that something can live back there...I hope!
