Pain is Beauty

...or at least that is what my mom told me when I whined about getting my hair french braided. And that is what I would have told Layne, if she would have understood me :)
This is when we got Layne's ears pierced a few weeks ago. Dan was flying back to Hawaii so we were made the trip to Phoenix and just brought Layne with us. She was completely spoiled. Dan basically bought everything he saw for Layne.
Before: poor little thing had no idea what was comming. I was near tears.

She was pretty mad, but got over really quick and now she looks so cute.

Amazon

While we were in Eagar my mom got me hooked on Amazon. In Eagar it is a necessity because of the limited shopping there. But I keep using it because I can get the things I need and not have to load the girls up and haul them all over!

I just bought this:

can't wait to get it.

Now my next purchase. Which one should I get?

This is the real Camo.

Just another funny video of Camo. Just have to say Dan did her hair. I don't want to be held responsible for it...but it makes the video even more funny.

What are you?

This is what Grandpa Sherwood taught Camdyn while we were in Eagar. Some might say inappropriate, others may call it truth. You decide.

ho ho ho! Merry Christmas

We spent Christmas here in Las Vegas. This was the first year we haven't gone 'home' for Christmas. And even though I missed Uncle Bob's rendition of " The Night Before Christmas" and moms yummy food, I have to say this was the best Christmas we have had as a family. I learned that 'home' is where ever my little family is.

The girls(mostly Cam) were spoiled by Santa. Sorry Layne, but you have no idea anyway:)
I made cinnamon rolls. not as good as my mom's but pretty good for me. I need practice.
We watched Elf
Read Luke 2
Made cookies for Santa
&
snuggled on the couch
Cam woke up about 7 but had forgotten it was Christmas, so we had to remind her. When we went downstairs she was so happy Santa did come!
The mess after the excitement
Cam with her Taylor Swift CD

Cookies for Santa. Yup I burnt them!

I guess I like this one. so you get it twice.

Christmas at the Belagio

We went to the Garden Room at the Belagio Hotel to see their Christmas display. It is always so amazing! My battery died right after we got there, but here are a few pictures. This rocking horse was HUGE! And so beautiful!

I Thought this Polar Bear was so neat. It was so big and made entirely out of white carnations.

Merry Christmas

Home Again

Its good to be back in Las Vegas and to be Together! We really did have a good time staying at my parents house (Cam loved it!). But it is nice to be in our own house and to have Daniel come home every night!

In 31/2 months we learned a lot.
******
Layne learned to sit up and do a pretty mean army crawl.

Cam learned what she really is, thanks to Grandpa Sherwood. (more of that to come later).

I found out it would totally stink to be a single mom...not that I was thinking about pursuing that.

Dan learned how to live on rice and to do a great Cinderella impression on the phone. (That's the only way Cam would talk to him).

Mostly we learned it doesn't matter what we have or where we are, as long as we are together Life is good
Since we have been home
******
The security guard in our community almost wrecked his truck when he saw me again on my morning run. (apparently he missed waving at me as I went by).
Quite a few neighbors have asked about Duke. I think I saw relief in one man's eyes.
our neighbor came by to say it good to have us back to "liven up" the neighborhood.
I still haven't put away Layne's bassinet. She was still sleeping in our room when we left. I feel like I missed out on something, so it is still by my bed. But she is now sharing a room with Cam.
******
Today is our 6th wedding anniversary. We went out last night to dinner and a movie. Dan came home this morning with a red rose and breakfast. Tonight we are staying home and just hanging out. And that my faithful blog followers feels pretty good to me!
Goodnight

Just because

I still have so many pictures to blog, but I thought these were cute. So everything else will have to wait.
I could have 10 babies if they were all like Layne.

I love this girlie.

More Thanksgiving

Maybe I will get all of my Thanksgiving pictures done before Christmas! :) Camo jumped right on Uncle Bob and stayed there for a while.
The seven layer salad was a disaster. Cam's cotton ball jar fell out of the cupboard and into the salad. So no salad this year!

Thanksgiving Part I

I have a million pictures from Thanksgiving, but these where the only ones that will upload. So I don't get too behind here are just a few.

We had a great Thanksgiving. I told Dan that our kids are the luckiest girls in the world. We go to my parents house and there are tons of people there that love them and are excited to see them. And they get to play non-stop with their cousins. Then we go up to the Nicoll's and it starts all over again. They are the most loved little girls!

So that is what I am most thankful for this year.
Family!
I have husband who I adore.
I have great parents and parents-in-law.
And two girls that I love, love, love.

We went on our traditional morning walk, on Thanksgiving. I thought it would be too cold for Layne so we didn't bring her, but it ended up being really nice.

**hopefully more to come. I took tons of pictures!**

LuLu

... has become Layne's nickname and she loves it. I haven't taken her to the doctor for a check-up in a while so I don't know all of her stats. But I do have a lot of pictures of my little sweet heart! So here is her 7 month update in pictures(a little late).

Cam took these pictures, she is into that right now.
I think she did a good job, and it is so cute how Layne just cheered right up for the photographer.

Just this week she discovered she can sit up! I think her pants were to tight for her belly to sit up.
She has turned into a big girl just this week. Sorry Dan. (I told him if she tried to sit up while he was gone I would just push her over :)
She thinks she wants to crawl, but can't figure it out. But she does a pretty great army crawl for right now.

She is such a sweet, quiet, lovable baby. But I think she will be just as busy as Camo.
One morning while I was exercising I couldn't see her anywhere. Cam and I went looking for her and saw this... She had crawled behind my mom's sectional and all we could see was her feet sticking out.
Of course she was as happy as he could be. Cam was really worried about her and wanted me to get her out!

We went to SJ last week to Grandma & Grandpa. This was the only picture I took, but it is a cute one.

Seriously so sweet!

I love love love this little girl. She is changing so much and turning into quite the busy body. I can't wait to see what the next few months bring for her, she is changing so fast.
