A Striking face: Maharaja Ganga Singh of Bikaner (1880 – 1943) was a visionary and a remarkable ruler of India who was responsible for putting Bikaner in a position of prominence on the map of India. He also built up the Bikaner’s economy, promoting among other things, the Ganga Canal, an ambitious irrigation project that was years ahead of his time, and which turned the deserts of Bikaner into rich farmland. He built the existing temple above the Samadhi of Ramdevji. © 2013

Beauty of Bavaria
A lovely setting for an onion dome shaped house of God – A Baroque St. Coloman in Schwangau, Bavaria, Germany. The church is named after a 11th century Irish monk. Nearby are the two famous castles – Neuschwanstein and Hohenschwangau. This is the region where King Ludwig II lived. From a photo taken in fall of 2009. © 2013
