A betel leaf seller in a colorful check shirt and turban is busy carefully stacking leaves onto a basket for sale in Thanjavur district of Tamilnadu. He has placed a banana tree branch which acts as a weight holder to keep leaves in place. Near him is an old bucket for washing, a stack of dry banana leaves and an old faded umbrella propped up by the wall for rainy weather.
