The tiny and attractive village of Aguero is situated at the foot of the colossal limestone boulders creating a visual contrast between the medieval-style architecture and the towering cliffs. Aguero is located in the Aragon region, a remote corner of northern Spain.  The rock formations rise more than 660 ft above the village, giving it a picturesque look. The 12th-century Santiago church is the main attraction in the village. The mountains of Los Mallos de Aguero, also known as the “Nine Needles”, are reddish brown-gray lumpy boulders. Over millions of years, erosion has sculpted the stone into vertical walls and needles.
