Chitra Gallery is dedicated to my mother (Mai) who gently and and lovingly encouraged my youthful artistic tendencies in spite of financial constraints to buy art material while growing up in India in the 1960-70s.

This website  showcases a collection of my watercolor paintings painted over several years time.  Many images depict people from India in various occupations along with other landscapes, still life, portraits, pastels and charcoal.

While I do not have any formal training in fine arts, I would like to share these images online with the hope that people will enjoy their artistic value and meaning as much as I enjoyed creating them.
