I think of myself as being pretty boring most of the time. I think that surprises some people, given how cheerful and chatty I am when I’m streaming or even sometimes just on social media. But one on one? I tend to be more quiet. And that’s not a terribly bad thing, I don’t think. It means I’m comfortable enough to not feel the need to be entertaining all of the time. I don’t think a lot of people realize what a gift that is, to be someone who makes a high anxiety person feel comfortable enough to just drop the mask and chill.

Of course, then sometimes I bust out with the crazy. You never know what you’re going to get with me.

I’m In My Pretty Girl Era

So full disclosure – I photoshopped my boob in this dress. 🤣 I really wanted to use the “sheer” version of this dress. But once I got it into editing, it was like, “Oh no, that’s a LOT of nipple.” I typically don’t like to alter an item in a photo that much, but I also wanted to keep it “safe” for Flickr. So just know that if you get this dress, the sheer option will show everything you’ve got if you don’t also use the pasties option.

I tried a new skin on yesterday. It’s a really pretty skin. If you know what the “Bold Glamour” filter on Tiktok, that’s kind of what it reminded me of. But for some reason, even with my usual layers and moving things around, it just wasn’t ME. Because you know what? I really like my face lately in SL. I feel pretty. I’ll always keep trying new skins to see if I find a new me, but for now… I’m pretty.

I’ve never been the most confident person. I’m very very shy and anxious. I know, people always laugh when I say that, but it is true. But what I do know is this. No matter how shy or anxious I am, I’m worth knowing. I’m pretty cool. 😂 And because I know this, I don’t really accept anyone in my life who doesn’t enrich it at this point. Hopefully I’m with people who feel the same about me.

When A Flower Grows Wild, It Can Always Survive

Whenever I end my streams on Twitch, I always tell people basically the same thing. “Please go do something nice for yourself because self care is important, and you’re absolutely worth it.” It’s not something I say just to say. I do actually mean it. But I never tell people what they should do for self care because I feel like it’s highly personalized.

When people think “self care,” I know visions of face masks and bubble baths typically come to mind. And yes, that can be self care if you like that. But self care can be bigger, or smaller, than that. Sometimes it’s journaling. Sometimes it’s going on a walk. It can be taking 10 minutes to yourself to do a crossword puzzle. It can be facing one of your fears so that it no longer troubles you. It can be going to therapy. It can be just taking a nap in the sun. As long as it’s for you, and benefits you, it’s self care.

Today my self care was buying myself something pretty in SL and creating a photo. I feel good about it. I hope you all are taking care of yourselves. ❤

When I was younger, my parents used to play a lot of oldies music. Elvis Presley was a big part of that, but I was never as interested in him as I was interested in Priscilla. I loved the photos of her from the 60s, especially her wedding photos. The makeup was so beautiful to me!

Izzie made some 60s makeup for The Fifty this month, and I immediately thought of Priscilla. And combined with the James&Dew set that is at Anthology, it all feels very Graceland to me.

I’ve had a real issue in SL lately. Skirts. Almost every single skirt I find is RIDICULOUSLY short. I’m not against a miniskirt, obviously. But why are so many of them basically like belts? Or they look good in the front but the back has half my butt on display? Or the front is short enough that the whole lady garden is out saying hi. I don’t need a knee length skirt, but could it at least cover my rear end?

Anyway, that’s why I’m wearing the same skirt I wore in my last post, just in a different color. When I find a skirt that works for me now, I think I’m going to have to fatpack and then wear it all the time until people are tired of it.

I’m an anxious girl. I’m pretty open about it. Mental health isn’t something that I think needs to be hidden. But I don’t *like* being an anxious girl. I feel like it makes it hard for me sometimes to get close to people, or stay close to people. It stinks, you know? I want to have close friendships and all that. But I’m an anxious girl. It’s not *all* bad. I’m good in a crisis because I spend my whole life preparing for a crisis. And for some reason, people say I make them feel calm. I can only believe that maybe I just suck up all the anxiety in a room and there’s none left for anyone else. 🤣

But that’s who I am. I’m anxious. I’m imperfect. But maybe that makes me perfect for someone.

I had planned a whole cool blog post today. I was going to talk about different things and it was all going to tie together in the end. But I’m actually quite tired. I had laundry today. And cooking. I did my blog photo in the moments I had to spare. I had to shop for a few things for my mom. Then I drove in traffic to go take food to my mom. Then drove back. Then had dinner things to do here. And attention to give. And cats to feed. I’m expected in about 20 minutes or so to go hang out with friends and play a game. But I kind of want to just go lay in bed and watch 90 Day Fiance. I won’t. But I want to.
