Strong Is What We Are

I asked my guy the other night if he would mind letting me be “brainless” for the evening since my brain had basically been on at 100 for the entire day. He’s pretty good at making sure I feel held, so even though it’s not something I would have asked anyone before because letting go of control for even a moment makes me feel like I’m getting hives, I felt like it was safe to do it with him. And I think that’s kind of a beautiful version of love in its own way, you know? Safety. Feeling safe with someone who doesn’t make you feel weird for needing things, even if you can’t really put into words what you need.

Now did I let go completely? No. I’m me and I’m kind of a control freak by nature because that’s how I’ve always protected myself. But I’m learning that it’s okay if I lean sometimes, too. It doesn’t make me less strong. In fact, it kind of makes me more.

Velvet Boheme is still going strong, so make sure you get out there!

A Little More Spark

I was definitely one of the first “Gimme all the mesh” people. When mesh hit the grid in 2011, I ran full speed to it. Mesh products were a grid changer, and over the years, the fact that things can be rigged to us never ceases to give me a little thrill. Especially jewelry. To never have to have a necklace floating 6 inches above my shoulders again?? Yes, PLEASE.

But I have to admit, sometimes I miss being able to edit things. While I love a rigged necklace, I do miss being able to rotate to keep it out of a sweater or something. You take the good with the bad, right? But I got so excited to see that the new Azoury heels that are at Lewd Station are not a rigged pair! They are rigged for your body, but they are separate. That led to me being able to get an idea of the photo I wanted today. And with uncreative as I’ve felt in the past couple of years, that one little spark? Oh yeah. Absolutely love it.

I Know There’s Gonna Be Some Brighter Days

I really love all kinds of colors. If you asked me my favorite color, I’d tell you 3, but I have more. Typically, I love pastels, but jewel tones and vivid colors also speak to me. I wear a lot of colors, both in my online and offline life. In a world full of colors, why would I only wear black, you know? Decorating is a little different for me. I usually stick with “natural” colors because it’s calming to me and my anxiety brain likes it. But I don’t know… Maybe it’s time for some brighter colors for my home.

Books Are A Uniquely Portable Magic

Hiya, bunnies! So the title of my post today is a quote by Stephen King, someone who sure tells a great story! It’s also a bit of a nod to my oldest sister because he was her favorite author and she’s the one who taught me how to love reading, which I am forever grateful for. I spent a lot of time alone as a kid when I wasn’t in school, and books were my way to travel without leaving the house, to have friends when no one was around, and to cultivate my imagination. They really are magical!

Neve by coldLogic released some SUPER comfy fall clothes today! You guys have no idea how happy it makes me! I’m wearing the Breeze long top and the ZeeZee floral leggings for this picture. I love cute, comfy, cuddle up and read clothing!

I managed to get into Kustom9 yesterday and played the Amitomo gacha a few turns, resulting in getting these StyleShare boots in prussian blue. I was trying to get the cotton pink ones, so if anyone gets those, I can give you a rare from the machine! I really need pink boots!

Time to go curl up with a good book!
