(Image Borrowed from Goodreads Group) Hey Bookworms I’m back! Today I’d thought I’d try doing the Top 5 Wednesday feature which was created by the lovely Youtuber, Ginger Reads Lainey. Now to be honest I’ve seen this feature a bit on … Continue reading

Hey Bookworms it’s time for a TBR! Now usually I try to do my Wrap-Up (which you can click and see) and TBR together, but I am trying to aim high with this one and read 20 books, so I didn’t want to overwhelm you guys with 34 books in one post. Hence the separate posts. Now some of these will be from my 20 Books of Summer Goal, some will be library books, that I need to read, and others will be what I am currently craving. I’ll start with the books I’m currently reading, and move to library books, and then so on! Now I may not describe them all in great detail, but as always the Goodreads links are in the title.
July TBR
1. Frostfire by Amanda Hocking
I am only a bit in, but I am really liking it so far! I like trolls who knew?
2. When You’re Back by Abbi Glines
I’m half way through and I have a few feelings and a bit of confusion, but I will wait till the end of it to decide how to address them after aka a review.
3. Princess in Waiting by Meg Cabot
Don’t love this new reader, but the audio books are quick and easy reads. Not my favorite read of the series so far, but still funny.
4. An Ember in the Ashes by Sabaa Tahir
Yeah I didn’t do well in the readalong, but I want to finish it this month! I found the audio book on Scribd, so I’m hoping it helps.
5. Clash of Kings by George R.R. Martin
Now I don’t know if I will be able to finish this, but I hope to get the majority of it done in July.
6. There’s No Place Like Here by Cecelia Ahern
Another Cecelia Ahern audio book and I hope it is a good copy. My library ones have been a hit and miss.
7. The Longest Ride by Nicholas Sparks
The only Sparks movie I love besides A Walk to Remember. Got this as a library audio book as well, so we’ll see!
8. Blue Moon by Alyson Noel
Reread for me from the library and I hope I find comfort in this couple once more!
9 Hotblooded by Nancy Holder and Debbie Veguie
Read the first book in the fall and I am eager to see what happens to these characters. It looks like I am the first to read this library book, so I am even more eager to read it
10. The Young Elites by Marie Lu
Another Library book that I can’t wait to read! The synopsis makes me think of X-men so I am even more eager to read it!
11. Days of Blood and Starlight by Laini Taylor
I listened to the audiobook of the first. This book is huge and it’s a library book, so I must at least attempt to tackle it! I would rather listen to the audio book though since the reader is the same and I loved her.
12. A Court of Thorns and Roses by Sarah J. Maas
I am so sad that I had to cancel my Uppercase subscription for a bit (sucks being a broke college student), but in the meantime I plan to finish this in the meantime.
13. Tiger Lily by Jodi Anderson
Peter Pan retelling that I’ve had forever and haven’t read. I found the audiobook on scribd, so may half it or start it to get me going.
14. Red Queen by Victoria Aveyard
I have had this since March and I’ve wanted to read it since the trailer. I waited for the hype to die down, so I am safe to not be influenced and ready to get it started!
15. Switched by Amanda Hocking
This is a reread for me, but I want to finish the series and I read this years ago! I am hoping Frostfire will spark me to finish the series!
16. Torn by Amanda Hocking
Book 2: Because binge reading can’t hurt right?
17. Ascend by Amanda Hocking
Book 3: Because I really want to finish a series this month!
18. Past My Defenses by Wendy Sparrow
I bought this books thanks to Judith at Bookdr3ams! It’s a werewolf book there needs to be nothing more to be said to get me to pick it up!
19. This Weakness for You by Wendy Sparrow
Sequel to the book above, so why not try and finish them both in one month.
20. Broken by Kelley Armstrong
I am determined to finish this book this month! For me summer is the perfect time to read Kelley Armstrong books maybe because it is when I read my first book by her.
That is all for now bookworms! I am not saying I will stick to it, but it will be awesome if I do! I will probably deviate from it because I am in a READ ALL THE BOOKS mood! Sadly I am not a speed reader, so that goal is probably not doable. What do you plan on reading? Do you feel your goals are too big some time? Have you read any of these? Share your feels, but no spoilers please! Happy Reading!

Hey Bookworms! Sorry for not posting all weekend, but it was a hard one. I am just hoping this week gets better. I feel set back after having a few weeks of being okay to say the least. It is hard dealing with depression again after 5 years of being okay, but I am trying to stay strong. Even on the good days it is still is there lingering under the surface. The good news is I am taking steps to get better and am proud of myself for getting help. I know I am not always the easiest to deal with in these time, but am extremely grateful for the few who have stuck around I am glad for the support I have found through my blogging and twitter. My readers are helping me a lot and so once again thank you! All of you! I promise my next post will have a happier tone to it.
As for the Readathon:
I got one book done because my mood has made me quite slumpy. I want to scrap all my TBR’s and move to the childhood reads I posted in my Top Ten Tuesday post. I need light and happy reads. As for the Readathon as much as I loved the hosts it wasn’t as active as I’d hoped it would be. Well it was their first time, so I am hoping it just hit some snags. A readathon should be an event where readers are cheering each other on with posts and asking what is read. I hope they do it again with more activity though! As for July I want to participate in at least 2! If anyone knows of any I’d appreciate it so much if they were shared in the comments below =)
Books I read:
I was able to finish one book: The Princess Diaries by Meg Cabot
This is a really cute and happy light book. I love that Anne Hathaway narrates and it just fits the personality of the character introduced in the movie. I do warn readers who are planning to read this that keep in mind that their are major differences. Try to set aside the movie as best as you can when you read and or listen to this book! That being said this book made me giggle and smile so much. So for those of you having a hard time at the moment I definitely recommend this book as a pick me up
I tried to read:
Thirteen Reason’s Why by Jay Asher
I had to put it down because it was triggering. I’m hoping when I am in a better place I can go back to it.
Good Reads Reading Goal Status
Even though I am in a bit of a slump I am still ahead of schedule! In fact I have almost reached it! I am 9 books away! I have read 63 out of 72 books. I am tempted to up it, but I dunno how often these slumpy periods will hit.
TBR for the Rest of June
Now most of these will be audio books since I am a bit slumpy, one Ebook, and a few Library books, but I’m hoping to get most of these done before the end of the month!
1. A Clash of Kings by George R.R. Martin
This is the second book in my Buddy Read I’m having with my Book BFF The Paige-Turner. I will be tackling some of this through half audio and half e-book to shake me out of slump
2. Hot Blooded by Nancy Holder and Debbie Viguie
I read the first book a while back and found out it was more than one. Lucky for me the Library had it and I plan to read it next =)
3. An Ember in the Ashes by Sabaa Tahir
My second buddy read of the month and I know I am more than a little behind my fellow readers but I hope they will forgive me!
4. The Maze Runner by James Dashner
Found the audiobook through my Scribd subscription, so since I’m having trouble reading words right now I am giving the audiobook a shot!
5. Echoes of Us by Khat Zhang
This is a last book in a series and I regret waiting this long to read it! The good thing about waiting so long is you forget who you like, so are not too affected when bad things happen to them. I remember all the characters, but beside the two main characters I do not remember who I like. This will also be a half and half as well between ebook and audiobook
6. Princess in Love by Meg Cabot
The next book and happily (for me) narrated by Anne Hathaway. I am adoring the lightness of this series =)
7. Frostfire by Amanda Hocking
Another Library book and I have only read the first in the Tyrelle series that this book doesn’t spoil the rest of the series for me. If anyone knows if it will please let me know!
8. Everneath by Jodi Ashton
A mythological retelling and also a library book. So I want to try and get this one soon! I don’t want to feel guilty for renewing it again.
9. Blue Moon by Alyson Noel
A reread from the Library for me since sadly I don’t have my own copy. This was my favorite series in high school and deals with a theme I love: Reincarnation. A lot of people hate on this series which makes me sad because they don’t push through and see reasons in the 2nd book and on.
10. The Little White Horse by Elizabeth Goudge
A childhood comfort that I am hoping will make me feel better! I just want to fall in this book and lost in the magic of it
So bookworms that is all for this post! I hope you all managed to stick through this whole post! I just wanted to make up for not posting for so long! I missed you all! Have you read any of these? What are you planning to read the rest of the summer. Comment and let me know down below! I always love to talk especially about books. Have a good week and happy reading!
