BOREDOM STRIKE

Hello.

Boredom strikes.

I just thought I would pop in and attempt to write something. If I was successful, then you are seeing this post…

Once again it has been a very long time since I last felt able to write anything. Life and all it’s challenges and confrontations has dominated my thought processes, (such as they are.)

Here I am, stuck in the hospital and in a state of static nothingness. Nothing to do but sleep my days and nights away.

Trying to make the time pass is an impossible challenge, and though I’m trying hard to, I am unable to stir up even one single thought original or not.

I’d love to be so creative, but alas. This lack of stimulation has me in its clawlike clutches.

As I lay here, staring out my hospital window. The sun is shining brightly and the trees are gently swaying to a tiny breeze. It is like so many before it, a very beautiful Summer’s day.

I almost wish it was pouring rain out there. At least then Id have a “nice” storm to watch.

Now hows that for despiration? LOL!🤪

Well at least I still seem to be in touch with my sense of humour, I guess. 🤡

I would love to be regalling you with some far flung tale of mystery, intrigue and adventure. Perhaps about a long journey on the high seas, or a Christie style mystery. A tale of intrigue or fantasy. I’ll have to save those things for another day.

I’d love to be strolling leisurly though the trails just across the parking lot that I am regarding from my hospital window. I wonder what wonderous wildlife I would encounter over there.

Beavers, bears, racoons, snakes, squirrels, buttontailed bunnies, deer, or something a little more exotic.

Sometimes someone will come strolling out of the trees, where they’ve parked their cars on the road above the treeline, and navigated the shady path that winds gently but surely through the beautiful pines and desiduous trees, to get tp this hospital’s Emergency entrance.

I see the odd crow flying/ soaring high above the trees, but those sightings are rather rare on such a peaceful and uneventful day.

I want something exciting to occur that will entertain me and stir up my usually active imagination. But it just isnt that kind of day. It so rarely is.

So here I sit with my head perched against my hospital window, praying for something/ anything to entertain my tiny mind.

Not this time, but I’ll keep trying to find something to relate to you all.

From Eagleridge Hospital in Port Moody, this is Cliff Lewis signing off.

See you next time, when I quite possibly may regall you once more with a thrilling tale of mystery or a fantasy trip.

Till then, this is Cliffy signing off.
