New Post

So I know a lot of you think we fell off the face of the earth but....we didn't we just moved up north to Clearfield. It all happened so quickly, within like 3 weeks we found out we were moving, found a new place to rent, found renters for our townhouse, and moved. Talk about CRAZY! But now after 2 months its a little easier to call this our home. I have a TON of pictures I have taken and as soon as I find my camera cord from the move will be posting eeh. We have already unpacked I promise it is just lost :( Treyton is now 5 months old, I really cannot believe how fast these little tikes grow it is incredible. He is an angel baby, we couldn't have asked for a sweeter spirit. He sleeps approximately 13 hours a night--Yea I know we are blessed. I just had to brag for a minute. New family pictures and many more to come....to be continued

Labor Story...

I had my 36 week doctors appointment on Monday and got checked for the first time, I was already dilated to a 3 and 80% effaced and his head was extremely low for having 4 weeks left. I figured he would be coming early but thought it would be at least another week. I had a few contractions that day but nothing consistant at all. The next day (Tuesday) I felt great:) My fridge was completely empty so we went to the grocery store, I cleaned all our bathrooms and vacumed the carpets. Nesting is what you call that, so I'm told. Well early that next morning (Wednesday) I got up at about 1:00 to empty my bladder, and about 30 min later my water broke:) You don't hear of peoples water breaking on its own too much anymore. I wasn't having any contractions but I knew they wouldn't turn me away. We got to the hospital about 2:00am and by 2:40 I had my IV's started and because my strep B test results hadn't come back yet they got me started on antibiotics which I had to have for 4 hours to prevent baby having to get poked and proded a lot more. I felt about 5 or 6 contractions before I got my epidural and was fully dilated and ready to go by 5:30 but had to wait until 6:40 for the antibiotics. The doctor showed up at 6:45 and at 7:09am he was here. The doctor did have to cut me a little bit and found the cord was wrapped around his neck and by me pushing was pulling it tighter. He wanted food the second he came out. Colostrum was not enough, he wanted REAL food. Because of this his blood sugars got pretty low so they took him to the NICU to get some IV fluids and they had to give him some formula to get the levels to go up. They had me feeding him up there every 3 hours and then they would prick his little heal to test his levels again. He was up there for about 14 hours total. It was kinda nice cause that first night we got LOTS of sleep. We went home friday morning!!!
