Halloween Night

First stop of the night, we went to Grandma and Grandpa H's house.

We went over to my sisters Trunk or Treat. It was great! Lilly really enjoyed trick or treating with her cousins. Later that night we went to see my Grandma G. and trick or treated around her neighborhood.

Day 13
HAPPY HALLOWEEN

Lilly, Clint and I made this Ghost and Pumpkin sucker wreath. We are going over to my sisters wards trunk or treat. My sister said that it would be fun for Lilly to ride Nova (one of my sisters many ponies) there. We are going to put the wreath on Nova and let the kiddos pick their treat off it. I think this is going to be our family tradition for Halloween....making the Ghost and Pumpkin Sucker wreath!

Day 12

These fun and cute pumpkins are made out of two flour tortillas. I cut the face out of one tortilla and then let Lilly place cheese (one of her favorite foods to eat) on the second tortilla. Then I laid the first tortilla, the one that I cut the face out of, and placed it on top and cooked it in a pan until the cheese was melted.

Day 10
White Ghost, Orange Ghost

Lilly loves chocolate, so we decided to make these chocolate Ghosts. I had bought the ghost molds a year ago at the dollar store. The chocolate melts, I bought at my local craft store. We used hot water to melt the chocolates in the bottles.
Lilly did a really great job making her Ghosts.

This project was super easy, super fast, and super FUN.

Later that day Lilly used her thumb prints to make these thumb witches. (Idea came from Skiptomylou.org)

Lilly wanted me to take a picture of Her Halloween Hair Bow that Grandma L. gave her.

Day 8

Lilly liked putting the sprinkles on.

The mini carmael apples didn't quite turn out the way I hoped it would. (It really does help to read instructions. The idea came from FamilyFun.)
They might not be edible, but Lilly sure had fun making them!

Two Lessons

It's 7:05pm and Lilly wants to go see her pumpkins that she carved this morning. So I open the door and I see that two of the five pumpkins have their lids off. So I tell Lilly to stay inside and I go out to exam the pumpkins......YEP.... somebody smashed the pumpkins faces. Right then I was so angry! I went back inside to tell Lilly that someone ruined her pumpkins. All she could say was "Why?" I don't think she understood what I meant by ruin. So after I calm down a bit, I look out my window and notice that their are only 4 pumpkins on our porch. At this point I am MAD! I call Clint at work (which I never call Clint at work) he is surprised to hear that it is me. I tell him what has happened, and he tells me to go get the rest of the pumpkins and put them in the garage. At this point, the boys are tried, they want their bottles, Lilly keeps asking me "Who smashed my pumpkin?" So I tell Lilly to stay inside the house and "watch" her brothers. Instead of going through the front door, I use our side door that leads into our garage. I open the garage door that leads out into the driveway, and start walking out. Across the street, I see two young boys, without shirts on, crawling across the neighbors lawn. By this time it 7:30ish and is dark outside.
All this rage comes out and I yell, "Are you the two
(the word _ _ _ _ head comes to mind but I didn't use it) boys that smashed my pumpkins! Their reply, no...we saw some people.....
I said, I think it was you two who smashed them
one boy said, "well we just wanted to roll them", then that is when I notice the smashed pumpkin on the street.
the other boy said "we are playing army"
I said."My little girl is inside crying because you two smashed her pumpkins!! (Lilly wasn't really crying) Then I go on to say "I know where you live, GO home, stay off my property Or I will call the cops".
That's when they ran away.
I turned around to go put my pumpkins inside and I see my neighbor that lives on the east side of our house. He looks at me and Gives me the thumps up.
I am really glad that I didn't use any foul words, because my neighbor heard everything!

So I tell this story because I learned two lessons:
Number 1
Don't leave pumpkins out, UNLESS you want them destroyed
Number 2
Watch what you say you never know who is listening

Poor Little Guy

As I mentioned on a earlier post, Deacon banged his eye up pretty good. Here is a better picture that I took last night, Today it looks even worse.

Day 7

Today we carved our Pumpkins. Lilly wanted a Kitty Cat, so Clint did a really great job at his own version of a Kitty Cat. Then she wanted a horse......that's a bit out of our range of carving pumpkins. So she settled for a plain old Jack o Lantern face. Lilly enjoyed pulling out the insides and throwing it on the ground. I know that the boys would have enjoyed carving pumpkins too, but they were taking a much needed nap.

Day 6

Since Lilly is really into horses and riding, she is going to be a cowgirl and the boys are going to be cows for Halloween!

I took this pictures at my mom's house.

(I am still very new to the whole photoshop thing, so this is my attempt at doing a digital scrapbook page.)

One Down One to GO

Poor Deacon!
It is hard to tell in this picture but Deacon has a bruised eye.
Deacon is walking! (about 70% of the time) He happened to be walking by my wooden bench in my entry way and fell over knocking his eye into the wooden bench. AND then he was standing by our DVD shelves and some how sliced his lip open. He for sure is my child. I feel bad that he has inherited my clumsiness.
But the great news is that he is walking. Trenton.....not so much!

Day 5

Specimen Jars
Over at Fun Daze they have a lot Halloween goodies. I found the skull heads, the spiders and eyeballs there and for a really cheap price. Lilly had fun putting the Halloween objects in the jars. For the spider jar I filled it with water and placed a one packet of Knox jelly in it, then added food coloring.

Then we made some ghost suckers.

Happy Birthday Grandma G

Happy Birthday Grandma!!!

To celebrate Grandma's Birthday we went to Gardner Village. We had a nice lunch at the mill and then went SHOPPING!!!

Halloween Fun at the Henry's

Day 3

Lilly would barely hold still enough so I could capture your excitement on camera!

Off to the Pumpkin Patch.

Every year (close to it) we go to the Pumpkin Lady in Kaysville. Lilly had a blast just running around all the pumpkins. She also had a great time picking out the pumpkin she wanted to take home. Once she picked her pumpkin the Pumpkin Lady gave Lilly some treats. (I think Lilly was more excited about the treats then her pumpkin.)
