The Loving Side

Lilly has two sides....Her loving side and her mean side.
Today she was showing that she loved her brothers.

This is what Trenton does when you ask "Where's your head?"

This is what Deacon does when you ask "Where's your nose?"

Thank Goodness!

Sunday through Saturday is considered the normal week...well for our family it is Wednesday to Tuesday....pretty much based on the week schedule of Clint's work.

Starting two weeks ago...

Wednesday...Thanks goodness for MOMS!

I was picking the boys up from my moms house...let me remind you that it had been snowing all day long. The boys were tired because is was after 2:00 and they go down for nap at 1:00. I had a sore throat and pretty much didn't have a voice. I had packed up the kids in the van was pulling out of my moms cement drive way onto the gravel, which was covered with snow. I go to put the car into drive and found that I was stuck. So I called my mom on the cell phone...to tell her that the van was stuck. She came out to help me. She was going to push the car, but I told her that I was more capable of pushing the car than she was...no offense mom. She tried to get the van unstuck but it wasn't working....So I went and got a shovel and started to dig out the front tires. After much pushing we finally got the van out onto the main street. Pushing was my exercise for the day!

Thursday....Thank goodness for NyQuil

Friday....Thank goodness for forgetting things...I can't remember Friday!

Saturday....Thank goodness for Cartoons!

Sunday....Thanks goodness for doggy doors.

We went to my dad's branch for church...(side note we go there every other week, because their branch starts at 11:00 and our ward starts at 1:00 which is the time Clint leaves for work and there is no way in hell I am going to church with my three kids by myself.) We come home and Clint pushes the garage key to open the garage door and it doesn't work...Out of batteries, thats what we thought...I go and push the key code on the garage and I notice that the key pad is not lighting up with the normal red glow. I then realized that the power was out. To make things worse neither of us had the front door key. I quickly told Clint to go around and check the back door of the garage to see if it was unlocked. He comes back and says "Well we have TWO options...we go back to your mom's house and get a key or we have Lilly go through the Doggy door. We figured we try the doggy door first. I go around back with Lilly and tell her to go through the doggy door...She doesn't want too...I told her that she needs to be a good girl and unlock the door for Mommy. After bribing her with candy and Little Einsteins she finally agrees to go through the doggy door. Getting her to unlock the door was another long process, but finally she got it and we ALL were able to get inside the house. We told Lilly that she was our little hero!

Monday....Thank goodness for washing machines and medicine.
Lilly had such a horrible coughing attack...she was up pretty much the whole night with this cough which made her throw up many times.

Tuesday...Thank goodness for Kleenex!

Trenton and Deacon now have this horrible cough and running nose. Deacon has figured out how to get onto the table...NOT A GOOD THING!

So Coulter and Kirsten....Thank goodness for Pepsi.....It helped me get through my week!

Rough Night

I usually empty the water from the tub right after I get the boys and Lilly out of the tub, well I didn't this time and Poor Deacon fell in....with his pajamas on.
Having some fun with Lilly's doll hair thingy.

Trenton really liked it on his head.

Redefining Joy

Chris Stewart has yet again amazed me with his new book "Redefining Joy In The Last Days" It is a very short book and could be read in minutes. But the content of this book will last forever.

"It is in the darkness that we really see the light. It is hard. But it is worth it......Even as everything around us seems to go dark in our troubled times, there is light there above us, far greater and more beautiful than anything we can ever see on earth. These are the gifts of God will give us, if we are willing to pay the price"... Chris Stewart.

If you have a few minutes I would suggest reading this book.

Happy Valentine's Day

Valentines Morning at the Henry's

Lilly was very excited about Valentine's Day.....and all the treats she got.
The boys could have cared less.
Clint "my sweet" Wrote me this really cute note, using the titles of the books that he got me for Valentines Day. I will ask him if I can post it.
I gave Clint a banana cream pie from Marie Callenders, and then mentioned to him that this evening he was going to get another pie...from THE PIE. Clint's favorite place to eat pizza.

Out and About

Today we went to Smith and Edwards in Farr West. Clint needed to get some ammo for his hand gun and I wanted to get a wheat grinder for our food storage and of course Lilly wanted to get her candy. The boys were excited for the shopping too!

After we got our things, we decided to go to Sams Club. So that I could get my ingredients for my freezer swap party. Lilly by then was all hyped up on candy that she was a wild child in Sams. She prefers to walk instead of ride in the cart so I told Clint that he was in charge of her. I went my way with the cart and the boys and Clint when his way with Lilly, I got alot done faster while Clint and Lilly were tasting all the free samples. Then Clint pointed out to me that one of my Weber Buddies was there and we chatted for bit.

Then at the check out a guy came up to us and said how fun it must be to have twins, boy and girl he asked. Clint said no, both boys. The guy said he had a twin sister and that people have asked him if he and his sister are identical! We are used to people asking if they are twins, not if one is a boy and one is girl. I know that Deacon has long hair, but I just don't have the heart to cut his pretty curls.

It was a fun day!
