All About Me

This is how the game works:Use Google image search to answer each question. Then, out of ONLY the first page of results, choose your favorite or most random image. It's kinda weird, but kinda fun. Let me know if you do it too or if you need some clarification.

GIRLS CAMP! Alden Branch 2008

So I know that I haven't updated this blog in forever but here is my lovely excuse...GIRLS CAMP!! We are out here in New York for the summer and in our little branch I got called as the girls camp director. This past week was the big event and it was so much fun! I had three 2nd years, four 1st years, and 1 YCL from my branch. We had two stakes combined and we went to beautiful Seneca Lake. Whitney went out with me the first two days but then they sent here home fighting with some of the leaders. Just kidding! They sent her home for other reasons...see her blog for details. It was so different from my girls camp in Utah. For one we had cabins and flushing toliets. For another it was about 80 degrees AFTER the sun went down. I had to sleep with a fan blowing in my face rather than wool socks and an extra blanket. Thanks Alyce and Lynette for all of your great ideas and for helping me make it super fun for all the girls. I am ready to come back to Utah but I think I will sneak some of them back with me! They are so wonderfully amazing! See pictures below of my fun filled week!

Friendship bracelets

I brought some of my embroidery thread with me and taught the girls how to make friendship bracelets. I remember making those when I went and they love them! Every two seconds a girl came up to me and asked for new colors. Word spread kinda quick and we even had some girls from other cabins come in to make them.

Boyscouts are not the only Pyros..

I was
with the 1st years during certification time and one day they learned how to build a fire. I thought it was so cute how they fit in the fire pit! Courtney and Maddison did a pretty good job and afterwards we cooked tin foil
dinners on it!
