She's here! (with pictures)

Now let's not jump the gun here, I'm talking about Whitney's little one. She finally had her baby and boy oh boy is she cute! Let me just say that now I know for real that labor is a real thing and that the stork is fake and I'm scared! But I guess in the end if our little Lou is half as cute as Andrew and Whitney's girl then it will all be worth it! It is so fun to have our best friends be in the same stage we are. My favorite part of visiting them was to watch Andrew give tips to Collin on how to be a dad. They were so cute! Andrew wouldn't even let us hold her for like the first 10 minutes we were there. And as you can tell from the pictures Collin wasn't so sure about how to hold her, but Andrew jumped in again and taught him the proper way to hold a newborn. I just can't wait until May when our little one comes. It's all so exciting! Congratulations Andrew and Whit, she is perfect!
The Papas

The Mamas

Do you think we are ready for this? We both look a little awkward..

This is my favorite picture of her! Cute little yawn!

Only one little chick missing from this picture, but she'll be here before we know it!

Alright folks here is the belly at 28 weeks. I'm now in my third (and final!!) trimester! Can I hear a WAHOOO! I made Collin take these pictures last night and he always tells me that my face looks weird so I just had to pull some extra crazy ones for him. I really should photoshop all my zits away. When I looked at these pictures after he took them I was seriously like "Wha!" I am so much bigger than I pretend I am in my mind...ahh the joys.

25 Things about Dani

1. I have some very irrational, but very real fears such as chickens and chewing gum. If any of you try to use this against me at anytime it voids our friendship for 6 years. Collin knows this is the only thing that will bring about a divorce.
2. My favorite story of all time is Beauty and the Beast. I have read the book “Beauty” at least four times and fall in love with it more and more every time I do. I love the Disney version and I’ve always wanted to be Belle at Disneyland.
3. I wasn’t tagged or anything by anyone to do this, I just really really like to talk about myself.
4. I started dating Collin a month after I graduated high school and got a lot of crap for being too young. I look at girls that are 18 now and think…ya I was REALLY young.
5. I had a miscarriage a year ago and was super bummed about it, but I felt like I learned a lot of things that I needed to.
6. I can shape my tongue like a three leave clover.
7. I have a freakishly long tongue.
8. I have a problem saying I love you. I think this stems from a phone call to a boy when I was in 5th grade and I told him I loved him. My mom over heard this and came frantically running in the room with a crazy look in her eyes and told me I should never say that. Collin’s dad knows how weird I am about it so every time he sees me he tells me he loves me and I haven’t quite been able to say it back yet. He even bought me a book on CD called “Saying I love you”.
9. My conscience works overtime. I feel really guilty if I do something that someone somewhere might consider wrong. I can’t throw trash on the ground, even if it is super small. I feel bad if I start putting my books away before the teacher is done talking. I’m totally ok with lying and speeding though.
10. I HATE being late. I am usually way too early and have to waste time acting like I meant to be there that early.
11. I think Collin is super hot. He is by far the most attractive person I have ever dated and I think that is why he isn’t as jealous as I am when we see our ex’s.
12. I have an unnatural obsession with Cary Grant. If he was still alive I am pretty sure I would devote my entire life to stalking him. Sadly we were only on this planet for two months and nineteen days at the same time.
13. My one life long goal is to see every movie that Cary Grant has been in. There are about 72 and I’ve seen about 20. So let me know if you run across a movie staring him.
14. I had never been to Hawaii until I got married. Since then I have been once every year but to different islands.
15. I have a missionary. Her name is Emily Lundberg and I have a countdown until she comes home. We write back and forth at least once a month. It is so much easier having a girl missionary to write to than a boy!
16. When Collin and I save enough money we want to go to Italy. We have both never been there before.
17. I had my appendix out when I was 13.
18. I went to “State” for the Make it Yourself With Wool Contest two years in a row in high school for making outfits out of wool. I would have never got anywhere if it weren’t for Kate…she basically told me each stitch to make.
19. I am so excited to be having a baby girl. I know everyone says that you will be happy no matter what, but I have always wanted a girl first and still have small panic attacks that she is actually going to come out a boy.
20. I still hang out with my friends from high school. They are the best and we always have so much fun when we are together.
21. I am the oldest in my family.
22. I am obsessed with shoes. I have probably over 50 pairs-most that I don’t wear but can’t seem to give up. I have gone through about 5 cards of the buy 7 pairs get one free at Forever Young.
23. Most of the clothes in my closet are from my little sister. She has crazy fashion and changes it so much that I get all of her “I saw someone else wearing something similar to this, it must not be cool anymore” outfits.
24. I can’t stand close to the bed if I am alone in the room. I have to hurry and jump into it and I even pray kneeling on my bed because I am so freaked that someone or something is going to grab my leg.
25. I totally stole this idea off of Kanessa’s blog and did it because I hate when I have nothing to post for more than a week. Thanks Kanessa!

IT'S GROUNDHOG'S DAY!!!

A lot of wonderful things happen on Groundhog’s Day. It is a day of miracles one might say. For example, my English class was cancelled so I was able to go into work early giving me the perfect excuse to leave early tomorrow and get my hair done. Coincidence? No, the miracle of the groundhog. What other marvelous things happen on the blessed day we call Groundhog’s? I, Danielle Brink only have 100 days left on my baby countdown. Groundhog’s Day kicks off another, perhaps more exciting countdown to… SPRING! February, being the shortest month doesn’t actually count as a month so it means that it is basically March which means that it is basically SPRING! May your Groundhog’s Day be filled with clouds and rain (so the little guy doesn’t see his shadow) and may you all carry with you the spirit of the Groundhog by buying some new pastel colored sandals. Now I must go Groundhog’s Day, starring the one and only Bill Murray is starting.
