I recall seeing the same thing happening in Marine Corps boot camp.  As I already had a taste of boot camp hazing in the US Naval Sea Cadet Corps at Great Lakes in high school.  I knew exactly what to expect.   Even still, I saw how the drill instructors whipped up the mob mentality and blamed certain individuals for the reason to punish the entire platoon for imaginary crimes.  I realized somewhere around week 3 or 4 that going to the pit was on a schedule.  Never mind the actual punishment violation.  It was just a excuse to turn intense exercise into a punishment session, in addition to the 3x a week standard physical training.  

The propaganda authority in the news media is losing all their credibility however.  This time the beast system is spending all it's coin.  This is how I know this is the real deal, and there is no one coming to save the day.

Saturday morning mind dump

 The wife again started out this morning telling me I needed to buy a loaf of bread.  Despite having sacks of flour stored away in the freezer.  

I keep about a pound or 2 in some big glass jars (formerly held nachos) at room temp for easy access.  

Grabbed the stew pot, dumped in flour, no measuring. Whet gluten another dash (makes the texture really nice)  yeast, no measuring, a dash of honey just for grins but not necessary, and very warm water added until the right consistency.  

You really do not need to knead bread all that much like the YouTube videos say.  You do need to mix it, but the flour will over about 20 min firm  up as the water spreads thru the flour and the gluten will form.  Grease up your hands, knead it a bit to make it nice and smooth surface.  

Today just to mix things up, I oiled up the cast iron pan, put in some cornmeal as shown and sprinkled more cornmeal on top.  Then sprinkled some rock salt on top.  I find that gives better flavor to salt the crust vs salt in the entire loaf.  

Bake until brown, and let cool so that the starch firms up and does its thing.  Too fast to eat from the oven gives you a gummy bread.  

All in all the whole process took less work than going to the store.  It is the weekend and I like to stay home in my nice quiet neighborhood away from the riff-raff I see all thru the week.  

Meanwhile the Telegram group I am in, has a guy who has been posting the various reports of the coming spiciness in the Ukraine.  He told me that he was told by someone more connected that to expect war in Feb 2022.  He did not believe it, but well, we see now it is look inevitable and the Russians are seeing the same stuff we are seeing from open data sources.  

Poland has announced that the roads will be occupied by military convoys heading East.  Missiles were moved to the front.  Flight tracking shows the US flying everything to Europe.

Putin gave his response to the Rothschilds beast system that they will no longer participate in the US Dollar system and the SWIFT bank system.  This all seems connected.  Every country that announced decoupling from the USD has been destroyed with the exception of Russia and China.  

I was hoping for a respite.  To no avail.  

Now here is a speculation.  No proof or anything.  What if the fertilizer shortages are not completely due to the high fuel price explanation?  What if it was diverted to explosives manufacturing?  Just a thought.

I do know that my shipment from Shanghai via FedEx was unusually speedy this week.  Which may indicate that Shanghai is not bottlenecked at the moment.  I got a big extrusion screw sent from there cause the local shops asked me 1500 dollars to make the same item I bought in Shanghai for 165 bucks.  Likely the local shops would have made it to substandard quality as well. Rather not buy from there but getting the essential vitamin parts to make my own stuff, I will not cut my throat to buy this item from the West that is likely the same Chinese crap laundered with a new made in (insert country here)

Bread update

It is every bit as delicious as you can imagine.  Whipped some cream, European butter, salt, powdered skim milk together into a whipped butter that was like frosting.  

Served with coleslaw/tuna.  Perfect brunch for the weekend.  Not overly full.

Then my antimalware started going nuts.  No notifications but task manager showing 35% of the CPU used by by anti-malware software but zero notifications.

Something is seriously bad with the Faceborg.

Checked my ad results.  No way I had 754 clicks.

I did not get 589 clicks as per my store traffic report.

A brilliant product

 Other day I had a bright idea.  I thought, it would be awesome if there was a plastic connector that works with the cheap steel tubing that is sold here.  Since it is such a pain in the ass to weld it and aluminum extrusions are too expensive.

I excitedly told my friend in South Africa bout it.  He is in the plastic business down there and has been a guest in my home.  

He told me, that a friend of his already is doing my idea in South Africa.

Having a 10 year start on me, he has already come up with these connectors and they are used for everything from furniture, to signs, to kitchens, shelves, so many things.  They even use them to make sheds.

Pretty damn good idea.  Gonna have to make some molds and make some here.  Add it to the 1001 other things I need to make.

Been on a bit of a bug spray kick again as the ants, roaches and fleas been coming back in the house and lot.  A teaspoon of the powder goes a loooooong way.  

Money a bit tight this week so no food stockpiling this weekend.  Another 120 quart jars waiting for filling.

Filling the garden pots

Making potting soil.

Recipe:
Red clay subsoil with the rocks screened out.
Coarse lahar volcanic sand
Composted chicken manure with sawdust. (sawdust was the manure bedding)

Mix well.

Wishing I had a hammer mill to really mix it.
I was alming for a  slightly sandy loamy soil with the right amount of clay.  

The heat here makes things compost very fast.  As a example I tossed a dead cat in the tall grass across the street and it was totally decomposed in a couple days.  Not even a whiff of stink.

Everything is now at the house, and planted.  Basil, lettuce, spinach, pechay, chili and cilantro so far.

Really thinking I need to invest in some of those mist sprinklers.  I got a bunch of parts left over from my shops outdoor mist cooling project and the parts were dirt cheap.  

Backyard volunteer tomato surprised me this morning with some tomato already.  It really grew fast.

Gonna add in some clay and sand to the backyard sawdust garden over the next few days also to improve water retention and a couple sacks of the chicken manure. 

It is somewhere around 90 degrees here today.  Sweating my ass off.  My welder is back to being broke dick again.  Missed work most of this week and delaying a 600 dollar collection.  Secretary who is also a engineer, jumped in this afternoon and started fabricating.  I was a bit surprised.  I ask her if she takes over the welder job and her own tasks, does she want the salary for both?  

Mis-Adventures in government procurement

 Occasionally our family business sells to the governments here.

Ran into some absolute dumbfuckery yesterday.

Secretary jumped thru all the hoops to do the order.  Spec sheet, Request for bid, purchase order, submission of all the licenses etc.  

Now the local gov, will ONLY pay if someone physically goes with the delivery and gets a paper check.  there is no option to mail a check or bank transfer.

In addition the delivery location it costs 250 bucks to send a van to.  EXCEPT if I send someone down there,  it will cost 500 bucks for the van round trip.  It is a 2 day trip with tolls.  12 hours of hard driving each way.  

I could send a employee on the bus, but I still will have to pay hotel, bus, food, and get a special power of atty for the employee to pick up the check.  

I would have walked away from the whole thing, except that this order is in conjunction with a NGO who will purchase part 2 of the project from me, which is a mini factory to turn plastic waste into lumber.  The NGO is slow pay but they always pay 100% upfront, and the government part, well you get the idea...

To make things more shitty, this morning, my welder messages me to tell me that he is again sick.  Auto-immune rheumatoid arthritis that started after his jab last year.  So more delay, and that is delaying 600 bucks to collect this week.  

Monday also got a message of other dumfukery.  My giant solar project has a inverter that stopped working.  Except the client has never called me.  Clients wife calls the installation subcontractor whop fucked up in the first place by not crimping the connectors properly or using ferrules on the terminal blocks.  That woman who is not my employee and I have no more connect with calls my former secretary and she calls me.  So they insist on playing the game of telephone.  I informed former secretary that I was not playing the game of telephone and that if this was legit, for the client to call me direct.  I then had to explain the children's game of telephone as she professed to be insulted due to lack of cultural context.  IDGAF about her butt hurt at this point.  

No matter where ya go in the world, you gotta put your pants on every morning, and grind it out if you want to succeed.

A Plant That The Romans Ate To Extinction

 I sometimes watch youtube "Tasting History with Max Miller"  

In a episode he recreates a Roman dish as quoted by Pilny the elder.  The dish called for Silphium but it is extinct as the Romans ate it to extinction.  The Romans loved the stuff and literally scoured the entire empire for every single plant as it was as valuable as gold.

Asofetida herb is supposed to be a substitute so he used that.

But the other day I saw a tiny mention in a article that the Romans knew or at least some knew that silfium is also a plant with high estrogen and is a contraceptive.

Knowing what we know now about the soyboy phenomenon, and phyto-estrogens.  There are strange parallels in the West and Rome.  Romans ate silphium, and then turned to homosex, population collapse etc.

The last few decades the consumption of soy has skyrocketed and soy has been modified for pest resistance, which is a phyto-estrogen.  

Fermented soy has no estrogen.  It has been consumed by the bacteria.  However tofu, Textured veg protein, soy oil, soy lecithin and soy milk all contain various amounts of the estrogen.

This plant looks familiar as there is something like in the Midwest.

Adventures in the turd world

 This morning, I go to work, the usual.  The two stray cats at the gate waiting for their little bit of fish for breakfast.  

Go to buy them their fish and have to avoid a fresh used diaper that someone literally just threw out the front of their squatter shanty into the street and then run over by a car.

Walking back I see 4 teen girls and they are so NPC, like literally just lights on, no one home.  I see they are about ready to step in the shit.  I point at that and tell them,  I am pointing at the ground right in front of them,  and I get absolute vacant zombie eye look.  All 4 of them walk thru it without missing a beat and do  not even notice that they are now tracking shit up the street with honest to god FOOTPRINTS OF SHIT left behind.

There is a reason why people are poor.  Most of the time it is cause they are so damn dumb they will literally step in shit and not notice.

Like the guy the other day, drives wrong way down the road oncoming to me.  Honk horn.  He crashes his bike like 30 or 40 feet in front of me.  I stop. I do did not hit him. Not my damn fault mind you, but he starts pointing and yelling at me as if I am the BAD GUY.  So I do the only appropriate resonse.  Flip him the bird and carry on.

Re; Canada and Block-Shipping

 So let us look at the situation.

Let us say that Trudeau suspends the licenses of all the drivers involved.  

Roughly 1/4 of Canadas 18 wheel truckers are actively involved in the protest.  

We are looking at 50k drivers, but even a few thousand will (are at present) devistate the Canadian supply chain.  

Especially if those drivers are owner/operators.  The Drivers let the siezed trucks get repo to the bank.  Costs the banksters money.

If the Canadian gov siezes the trucks outright, who will drive them? Imagine sabotage operations on the stolen trucks as they are sitting in truck stops?  Cut the brake actuator and it will be a expensive repair.  

Each truck has 18 of these.  It is not a easy fix and the part is out in the open.  

Imagine every truck that has some foreigner behind the wheel in Canada getting this cut.  Chaos.

I remember in the Iraq war, KBR had a VERY difficult time getting drivers.  At first they hired tens of thousands of Americans. I was told at orientation in Houston that there were 2000 new employees every week hired to go to Iraq and Afghan war, They could not even find drivers to go to Djibouti. (I went but that is a whole different story)

 Then when they ground thru those guys in late 2004 early 2005 they imported Filipino taxi drivers (no exaggeration) and tossed them into the trucks with the predictable results.  I guess no one there saw how dangerous Filipino taxi drivers are.

By the end of the war, we had 2000 drivers imported from nearly every country in the world at IAP (former PanAM) running the supply convoys and they had a very difficult time getting 2000 drivers,  now imagine 10,000 or 50,000 imported to Canada land, especially now with the airline restrictions, recruiting, testing etc.  Game freaking over.

Simply put Trudeau holds the losing hand.  Any violence he makes... he loses.  

But tyrants have glee on wrecking things.  So there is a very real likliehood of pretty much SHTF in Canada-land over this.  Or the sane people round up Trudeau and his den of theives and jail him for the good of the people. (or more violent actions)

Which means that more rice, more pretty much everything needs to be stocked up. 

I also need to start working on more hardening of the house as I removed a bunch of the barbed wire last year, and the windows are no longer boarded up. This time however I will do it differently as I have more resources and more experience.  Not planning on turning the house into a bunker, rather just making it easier to quickly board windows, doors etc.  Because also I am in a typhoon area and while devastating typhoons are very rare in my spot, combined with the unstable situation makes it prudent and it will only be maybe 150 bucks materials at most.  

Also today the first time I was asked to present a vax card to enter the supermarket.  I bullied my way past the surprised guard and continued on.  The guard seemed embarrassed to ask for the card. 

Meanwhile the requirement to have a vax card for public transport has been rescinded. Lots of talk about human rights violations in the local news now.

Not all is doom however

The worst thing about knowing.

You know the worst part about all this world situation?  It is seeing it happening and knowing in advance what will happen next, what is planned and knowing that it is nothing good that is coming.  I wish it was something good to see in the future, but I only see a lot of hardship for a long time before the beast falls. 

It seriously does not have to be this way.  But there are so many self appointed 'betters' who have a thirst for nhilism and inflicting pain.  

We are living at a time of unbounded prosperity, if only the beast would not intefere with our persuit of happiness.

The best I can hope for is to scratch and claw my own niche in this world.

I would dump this shitshow entirely if not that the whole damn country here is addict to the borg via free facebook on cell phone even if you do not have a data plan.

Hot and humid here

New sales inquiries are just dead the last week or two.  

Sitting in the office here, lunch was some pork bbq, steamed rice and a 8 ounce orange Royal soda in the old fasioned glass deposit bottle.  

Got a bunch of machines in the pipeline but the boys working slow.  My garden boy is MIA today so I guess there will be no shovelling and screening of dirt for the vertical garden.  Need to mix up a bunch of soil, composted chicken manure, and bit of sand together to make the ideal mix.  The manure has been marinating since December and has already lots its smell due to the large amount of sawdust in the bedding and the plus 80 degree weather.

I got approx 85 pieces of 8 inch pots to fill up, and another hundred of the small wall pots that still need a proper racking or fence attachment at the moment.

The sweet corn sure looking awfully tempting now.  1 or 2 weeks should be good.  Gonna eat some ears, and the rest cut off the ear and freeze.  Then plant another batch of something or other ASAP.  Maybe more sunflowers, or hit the plot with fertilizer and do some more corn just for grins.  

Sawdust garden after the multipurpose fertilizer applicaiton last week has perked up.  

I think after lunch, gonna take a trip to the big box lumber store and check out the wood prices.  I need to start calculating plastic lumber costings vs the canadian pine import stuff and the china plastic decking.

As my new extrusion screw will arrive likely next week, gonna have to start building that out.  I got a bit lucky with the motor on it.  Client had a shredder from 3 years ago and the motor had issues because someone mis-used it.  Client asked for a brand new motor, did not want anything to do with a re-wind.  So I will re-wind the old one and use it.  Savings of a couple hundred bucks.  

update.  well no trip to the big box store.  Pickup truck is back to usual tricks with the clutch.  Lots parts replaced but somehow it seems to lose fluid and air gets in the system.  Pretty much the same as what the brakes doin.  Damn mechanic is a no show for over a month now.  I need to find a new one, but hard to find.  Lots wannabe monkeys, and over priced monkeys with fancy shops and still shit service.  One reliable guy I know is a hour drive away so that is last resort.
