Clive Gordon

This would have been the week our little Clive should have joined our family.  I am sad that I don't get to have him here with us, but I wanted to share some pictures to remember him.  We feel secure that he is part of our forever family.

These pictures were hard to take but I don't want to completely forget.  We love our little boy!

We are moving forward and and hope to have more children soon!

To do lists

Just found a to do /chore list Justin started and finished by Etta.  She was sounding out words and really excited to write.

Just seeing it made my mommy heart leap!  I can't believe she'll be reading books and writing notes and truly be independently thinking and communicating so soon!  I can wait to introduce her to some good books.... Little House on the Prairie here we come!

Kindergarten

It's a big day around here!  We've been waiting and waiting for this day!  Etta's first day at kindergarten!  My mommy heart is happy and sad!

Just wanted to share a few pictures!

She immediately started talking to some friends!  They all realized that the three of them had blue eyes.  It was an exciting discovery!  I am sure they will all be besties by the end of the day!

It was cute because as they talked I could tell she was excited but slightly nervous but that she could do this!  

I can't wait to hear the full report of her day!  Here are a few pictures before she left home!

Grossing me up!

We were going through clothes today to figure out what things will work for the coming year.

We found a little dress that had s button up by the top of the back of the dress, and there was hair wrapped tight all around the button.  It was really gross!

Etta saw it and told me very seriously, "That is grossing me up!"

I didn't want to forget it!  I love the funny little things they say!

And here is a picture from a butterfly she saved from drowning...  The girls were very gentle and after a minute or so it flew off.  They were so excited about it.

All made up

This morning when Lydia woke up she ate breakfast, then walked into the bathroom and brushed her teeth, put on lipstick, perfume and brushed her hair.  It was so grown up!!  But it was also my makeup...

So, since the girls have been really into makeup and begging me to buy some for them, I decided today was the day.  They got a little caddy with lipstick, blush, eye shadow and body spray...

Well, they've done about three makeovers today, and each time got a little more "dramatic".  

Like this look for example, Lydia ran out and said to me, "I don't like to much makeup, just enough..."

Do you think this is too much?  Or just enough😂!!

She was also saying how she is a monster... I am leaning toward the too much!

Etta put on her makeup, and said, "I look different!"  And I have to agree!

The dark brows seem very Madonna early eighties...

Apparently you can do a lot with just eyeshadow!  We had to scrub their faces with tear free shampoo to get all this off!!

Life is fun with these two princesses!

Cracks...

Lydia was complaining that her bottom hurt from falling down while doing leaps at dance.

Lydia said "My bum hurts from falling down at dance.  I almost cracked it!"

My smart aleck response, "There's already a crack..."

I "crack" myself up!

Our Little Chef

Lydia loves watching Top Chef Masters with mommy and daddy and she's becoming her own little chef.  She made rainbow fruit cups which turned into parfaits.

So cute!
